The Dae adjusted their glasses, pushing up black frames on an ashen nose as a door opened into their domain. It wasn’t as if visitors were rare. Human ones, of course, were, but they were usually promptly disposed of and this one was certainly not human. Black eyes in the shape of a beast’s briefly looked over to the visitor before the Librarian put their book down.
“Welcome, Visitor, to the Bibliothecam Mortuo. Common knowldge has no place here, so I recommend that if you seek textbooks that you leave. However... if you wish to know something that no one else in the world knows or even the knowledge only granted to a rare few, you can certainly find it here. So, did you enter looking for anything in particular?” The Dae’s unusual tail flicked once before clawed hands crossed themselves over bony arms.
