I thought I'd show you a colourful little shelf in my home! ON THE SHELF I adore the colourfulness of folk art and picked up this gem from @culturevulturedirect it's filled with a sewing set for emergencies. My Nanny Daphne did barge painting as a hobby and I've been obsessed ever since. The pin cushion is hand embroidered and trimmed with pom poms I found it on @etsy Years ago There's a little mosaic rainbow by @bluebell.treasures And a metal swallow I found at a car boot sale A candle from my dearest friends for my 40th birthday, I'm not sure I'll ever burn it. An old chess piece set with wooden pieces I have my husband. My grandparents had the surname knight and my grandad would use a chess knight at the beginning of all his home movies so I love the nostalgia of the piece. My vintage pimp star pot was one I just couldn't part with in the end and it's filled with crystals Three carved soapstone hearts from my husband which say I love you ❤ The Vintage radio was made in Kent. I purchased it because I love the little stars on the front. I love the fact that my Godmother (who is now in knitters heaven) worked in the factory during the time it was made and may even have constructed part of it !!! I had no idea when I bought it but it's made it even more special!
