So the person I chose to be "under the influence" of is my father, which isn't hard for me considering he's one of my biggest role models. He did this for my mother with a black pencil in 2007 (for Valentine's Day). He said this was originally someone else's painting, though he does not remember who or the original title, so I was not able to find it. So this is me being under the influence of someone under the influence of someone, which just doesn't quite sound right. But if you think about it the trail probably goes much further than that.

I couldn't find a black pencil (crazy right? I tore my house apart looking for one) so instead of doing something with the materials he used, I recreated his subject matter using my materials of choice, pencil and watercolor. I know that wasn't the assignment exactly, but I had fun with it. Thanks!!
