#UGBudget17 of course #Art won't be an issue it never is whenever the budget is mentioned. But let me use this moment to reveal how #Art influences society. This is a picture of a talented oil painter and musician. Her portrait which happens to be of me was entered into one of the biggest competitions and now hangs at the Royal academy of art in London. Over 250,000 people come to view this exhibition that opened this week. So what do we learn? As you can see many artists did make the grade and each art work represents different personalities all inspired by what is around them. For @jo_shepherd_fine_art hers may be represent lessons learned from her travels which gives an insight into global issues once your captivated by what she painted and would like to know more. Maybe the painting next to hers represents a healing process at a stage of taking control of one'a emotions. When artists exhibit many focus on making sales which is important but for those that care about making an evaluation of social evolution, this is as good as it gets. Artists on a daily basis capture what cameras can't despite the impression some paintings could give. With every inc, stroke of a paint brush we on a daily basis accumulate metrics fundamental to a visionary leaders who then can budget for this country with long term view. To plan for the future as today's budget will seem to indicate one has to take accountability of now. What we have is a population that is desperate to be included but will the majority feel considered? For young people to start creating their own jobs and employ others, why not consider incentives over handouts? Like tax breaks which are commonly limited to foreign investers. Uganda is the most entrepreneurial country for the second year running yet not many of businesses started, survive the 1st year of inception. You register your business today without a mentor, and the next day the tax man is knocking at your door. You have to deal with high interest rates and all. How might we learn from history? As an artist I will continue to capture what's around me may be generations to come will have a reference point #ArtMyPlatform
