I actually despise most forms of Snirius.

Because most Snirius fics are just: "Remember all those years Sirius bullied Snape and tried to kill him? He was just flirting."

Which stems from the whole "pulling pigtails" thing.

Which plants the idea that hurting the person you love is normal and that pain is a sign that this person likes you and you should be grateful they are hurting you.

Snirius or Jeverus!

I know a lot of people fight over these two ships, they're so fun. Personally, there was only one fic I fucked with for Jeverus, very few for Snirius too. It's the aspect of forgiveness and the past bullying that's often passed over simply to get on with the romance of the characters for me. And sure, love it, entraining to read too, however I feel like we lose something when it's completely ignored and watered down. I need the angst, the distress and the hatred. That type of hurt and trauma doesn't go away, and let's be very clear bullying results in trauma and lasting pain. And these ships are very much victim and bully to lovers, and I doubttttttt with strong T such a relationship can smoothly transition to lovers. That's why I adored with my entire life slow burn with these ships, make us bleed for lol.

As I say this, my own fic needs a little rework done with these core ideas, and I can't wait. I'm going to get gritty with it!!!
