The moment she’d found out about this she had to come here. The moment she found out it was only available after sundown she had asked Artoria to meet her here. She had intended to from the start, excitement had just gotten the best of her. But now the sun had set and she was marvelling at the semi-interactive star garden.
“Isn’t this great?! I wanted to show you something like this on the ship, but there’s so much more space to walk around out here! I wonder how much it shows, I wonder how much it decides to show? Is this the universe?! Multiverses of stars?! What time period? All of them?!”
She had intended to stick by Artoria too, but she couldn’t contain herself as was darting all over the place.
“Hey! Look for a tertiary system if you can! White dwarf, red dwarf, orange dwarf!”
HONESTLY ... Mordred’s been dreading this.
Once she got used to the advancements compared to technology during the Greater Grail War, her cell phone was pretty easy to work. Along with it, familiar names were pretty easy to find... But with all the chaos around her summons ( if you could call it that ), it had sort of escaped her mind --- the possibility of running into Father.
All laughter ceased, the Saber screeching to a halt almost immediately. The cat she’d been chasing seems perplexed, but quickly goes on about its business. With all the time she’d had to reflect during her last summons, with all the complex emotions she’d at least started to work through... ‘What will I do if I see Father again’ wasn’t one of them. And this was undoubtedly her father... Even if their appearance had changed, there was no mistaking the presence of a King. Any sense of peace and reconciliation she got from the Greater Grail War was one-sided at best, and she knew that --- so honestly, Mordred has no idea how to feel or react. Other than, of course, saying the first thing that comes to mind.
❝ ... You’re different. Different from what I remember, at least. ❞

city officials will beg to differ
the city officials and I will have a civil discussion over such matters. once I show them my underground storage of wine I’m sure things will work out just fine

stop giving her money she needs to earn her own income
there is no need to be jealous that i’m the favorite parent, king of knights. it is unbecoming.
it was a relief to be back in her body-- swapping with someone else, being privy to private information, slowly adapting how they are the longer one stayed...it didn't sit right with her. but there was nothing to be done about it nor anyway y to prevent. and it hasn't been so bad-- mitsuri was the first and knowing the other made the change less jarring. then a girl named lux who had wings-- that was a learning experience and now she can safely say she prefers walking over flying. yes, being back in her own body the last couple of days was great. the constant shift in senses and bpdies and different species had thrown her off and left the faunus hoped that was the last of it.
she should know better by now.
there was no surprise when she outstretched her arm, fingers wrapped around Gambol's hilt only to find it wasn't her arm and Gambol wasn't in her grip. another stranger's body she's in and now, another hunt for her own-- which started with a phone call once she located the device, quickly searching her own name and tapping it. once whoever had her body picked up, she completely skipped pass any introductions.
" This is sudden, but please meet me at the Bamboo Grove-- I, uh...I have your body."
gods that was so weird to say.

She had thought about inviting Artoria to her place, but her place was... In disarray. It was like a workshop of chaos. It almost felt a little forward to? Maybe? She wasn’t used to feeling so awkward. She also hadn’t wanted to just turn up at the lancer’s place either, or even arrange to meet there in case it got awkward but Artoria couldn’t leave because it was her house but she wouldn’t want to ask her to leave without feeling bad.
... Oh wow, what was wrong with her? She never usually felt like this. She missed that confidence.
So in an effort to be somewhere... Neutral? She’d asked Artoria to meet her at a park. And she’d brought snacks! Bread, cheese, cookies and a giant jar of honey.
“Hi hiiii!”
“How’s it going? You look nice!” Which was always true of the lancer really. Emere was even wearing a tshirt! And a skirt. Two items she was almost entirely inside of.
