âşâşâş @deepsoughtâ
there's a lot of firsts. a lot of things that aren't the same, and since he's alone, he spends as much time as he wants to with it all. but he has a lot of questions. like...
where is his â â â â â â ?
and this object... green, with a bunch of needle-like points. it looks sharp, so it probably is. or it's like one of those things that are fuzzy. is it fuzzy? are looks deceiving? he wants to touch it. he wants to feel it.
so he reaches out his handâand he's grabbed by the wrist; it seems the shopkeep was watching him. their grip doesn't hurt, but it is inconvenient. they say something about it being a: "Cac...tus...?" that it would hurt if you touch it. a kid shouldn't mess with this sort of thing, and he understands. a kid shouldn't, but he's not a kid. he hears that a lot.
who's the shrimp? someone's kid or something?
you listenin', kid? this girl'll burn your sense of taste right out.
don't you think it's about time you gave this kid a name?
maybe he is, but he doesn't connect the word.
and so he reaches his other hand out, once more for the cactusâ
