Decolonising the Arts Curriculum: Perspectives on Higher Education
Really excited about our recently launched zine - Decolonising the Arts Curriculum: Perspectives on Higher Education 🎉
Thanks to all those that made it down on the 14th of June to the CSM Vitrine (just by reception). There’s a display still available to see until 9th of July so do check it out if you get the chance!
Come grab a copy from the Students’ Union reception and/or view it online here!
It has been really great to work in collaboration with the Teaching & Learning Exchange in the last six months and build something from the bottom up with students and staff. Huge shoutout to everyone that has contributed to this publication.
I’m really proud of the students and course reps who have continuously stood up and pushed for a liberated and decolonised curriculum on our courses, continously challening what and how we are taught - through critical discussions with our tutors, as difficult as these conversations may be sometimes.
I really hope that this zine will push for more institutional understanding around the need to undo colonial legacies immbeded into structures of the university and open up even more conversations between students and staff in our courses. ✊🏾
