"I wanna read chat," you smile, moving away from the island to grab your phone sitting on the dining table across from you.
"You just don't wanna cut the onions," Alex replies with a sarcastic scoff.
"Yeah, I don't," you reply, grabbing your phone off the table from under his.
You just barely nudge the camera and take a moment to turn it back to place before returning to the island, standing beside Alex as he begins peeling an onion. You pull up the stream on your phone, leaning on the island, putting a few feet between you both since you knew in a minute the onion gas would have you rolling on the floor in pain.
You snort, throwing a hand over your mouth to contain your laughter while Alex raises an eyebrow in confusion.
"Someone said you're my malewife making me a meal before I get home from my blue collar job," you explain, setting your phone down to giggle with your hands over your face.
Alex tries to fight a laugh before looking up at the camera, "Guys, how am I a malewife?! Just because I'm cutting up an onion? Also, Y/n would never work blue collar."
"Yes I would!" you exclaim, jaw slacked, "I'm a hard worker!"
His eyes narrow, "You wouldn't last a day in construction."
You take a moment of silence to think. You silently agree, moving on to find more comments to read. Chat seemed more focused on other things, so you move to Instagram comments on his page. Usually, they comment the most unhinged shit, so you should be able to find some funny comments.
"I found one," you cackle, showing Alex the photo where you found this comment, "Bro looks like if Minecraft Steve and a villager had a baby."
"What the fuck?!"
You fall to the floor in humorous tears, holding your stomach. That's when the onion gas reaches you, blinding you, leaving you trapped in pain and laughter while Alex playfully yells at chat. You rub your eyes, trying to stop the burning, but it feels like it's only getting worse.
Alex takes notice of your behavior and your little 'ow''s, his brows turning down in worry. He watches as you scramble to your feet and stumble to the sink, patting around for a towel and the faucet with your eyes shut tight. Tears roll down your cheeks as you groan, calling out to him.
"Alex, holy shit, just put the onion on the stove!"
He quickly follows your demands, sliding the chopped onion into the pan on the stove. It crackles and sizzles as he uses the knife to slide it all off the cutting board. He sets the board and knife down, then turns to you.
"You okay?-"
"No-" you groan, grabbing at your eyes, "Cold water on a towel, it helps."
Alex bites back a laugh, smile evident, especially to the stream, as he turns on the cold water and reaches under the sink to grab a towel. He moderately soaks the towel before grabbing one of your hands, silently alerting you that your aid was here.
You slam the cold towel against your eyes, freeing yourself of misery with a sigh.
"Are you gonna make a full recovery?" he asks.
"Maybe. I'm not sure. I might be permanently blind."
You watch as Alex looks to you for measurements with the sauces. You have much more knowledge in this dish than he does. He is not eyeballing and potentially wasting thirty dollars worth of food for twelve people.
For context, you're just streaming cooking a meal while some friends are traveling from an airport about two hours away to your home. They're visiting, and yes, you're cooking for twelve. There'll be six of you total and enough for seconds or leftovers if need be. You set up a vote, and the winning dish was stir fry, so here you are, making it, trying to get it done before they arrive.
You jokingly snatch the bottle of soy sauce from him, then show him how to apply. You lightly drizzle in a swirling pattern before setting the glass bottle down. "Now stir it up how I showed you."
He follows your orders, watching as you add some sesame seeds and pour in the fried eggs after, all while he's still mixing. He watches intently, trying to remember everything you're doing to try and make this again, alone, potentially as a surprise. He's making mental notes that he'll hopefully actually be able to remember.
"Looks good, babe," you smile cheekily, leaning against the counter beside him, "You're a professional chef now."
He quickly looks away with a smile, feeling his cheeks warm up. Even after years of being together, he still gets flustered with your pet names. He isn't sure why, but he feels he never really left the honeymoon stage.
"But," you continue, "Eyeball, taste, eyeball, taste. That's the go-to. No measurements. Just... see how it tastes, honestly." you tell him, grabbing a small spatula from the kitchenware jar on the counter next to the stove. You use it to pick up a small scoop of the rice before fountaining it into your mouth. You nod as you chew, "Lowkey, that's awesome."
"Can I try?"
You hand the spatula to him and move to the island, grabbing your phone after you hear it buzz. Your friends are pulling up. You set your phone back down and turn, seeing him practically eating straight from the pan. You contain a laugh while you stand on your tippy-toes, reaching up to grab a large bowl from the cabinet over the fridge.
"They're here, put everything in this bowl and fold it again how I showed you."
He nods, taking the bowl once you manage to grab it. You rush to the door, nearly falling on your way, to unlock it and allow your guests in as you see headlights illuminate the windows next to the door. You hear Alex squeak, and looking back, you notice he dropped a little bit of the food on the floor. A small chicken cube and a couple grains of rice, basically. Nothing to fret over.
You hug your guests as they enter, informing them that dinner is almost ready. Your return to the stream, allowing them to say hello to chat and to help Alex with the heavy ass pan and pot of veggies.
"Holy shit, how long have you guys been cooking?" your one friend questions, "Your stream is like, four hours now."
You and Alex both laugh.
"We've only been actually cooking for two," you explain, "We did a lot of fooling around."
"So that explains the raw cookie dough platter?"
"And why Tiger is hiding under the couch. Alex dropped a pan and scared her."
requested by anon “Hello! Can you do a C!Dream Team x Fem!Reader where they all like her and Tommy notices and calls them out? Love your mc works <33″
summary tommy and the dream team find themselves together and far from home. as a harsh storm brews overhead, the only place they can go is to y/n l/n’s home, an ex of sapnap’s and friend to the other two dream team members. during their stay, tommy begins to notice several obvious violations of the bro code.
warnings swearing, mentions of injury, lots of jealousy and tension (but the funny kind)
note i made this draft BEFORE all of the allegations dropped and want to be completely clear that this is about the CHARACTERS and NOT THE PEOPLE. ‘cause fuck that guy, but i got a request to finally drop this fic and who am i to deny the people

somehow, tommy had found himself with the dream team. they wandered the world, far from any inkling of home, in search for safety. dark clouds were rolling across the sky, thunder rolling far in the distance. even just a forest would’ve provided enough shelter for them in their half-panicked, half-amused states.
when they finally came across a forest, there was a minor problem.
“why’s there just a line of concrete on the ground?” tommy questioned. the dream team all looked to each other before sapnap tackled tommy away from the solid line. “ow-! what the hell, man?!”
“don’t touch that line!” sapnap demanded with wide eyes, lifting himself off of the teen. “those who cross that line.. they suffer. they suffer a fate worse than death.”
“oh, come on,” dream wheezed as tommy brushed the dirt off of his clothes. “y/n is not that bad.”
“yes,” sapnap scoffed, “yes, she is! i stepped across the line on accident once and an arrow shot through my foot!” sapnap took off his boot and sock to reveal the indent of a scar through the top of his foot. tommy cringed while dream just rolled his eyes.
“she can be scary, i’ll give him that,” george spoke as sap slipped his footwear back on. “but i think she shot you because she doesn’t like you,” george giggled, dream snickering along as sapnap pursed his lips, his cheeks barely heating up with a blush.
“why doesn’t this woman like you?” tommy questioned with an amused smile.
“they used to date,” george explained through chuckles. “sapnap broke up with her because he’s scared of her.”
“i am not!” the boy defended over his friend’s laughter. “whatever! let’s just find somewhere else to take shelter..”
“dude, y/n owns this forest,” dream spoke, crossing his arms as the wind around them began to pick up. the slight humidity in the chill let them know the storm was getting closer. “we know this area; there’s not another safe place for miles. let’s just see if she’ll let us in.”
“she’s gonna leave me in the storm,” sapnap whined as they approached the solid line laid into the ground.
“at least the rest of us will be safe,” george teased. dream stepped into the territory first. when no arrows whizzed through the air, he signaled for every one else to follow. sapnap stayed close to his friends, eyes darting around the area as they walked through the dark shadows of the trees.
“is she, like, crazy or something?” tommy questioned as the wind continued to pick up around them. “sapnap’s shitting his pants right now.”
“y/n’s fine,” dream laughed. “she’s actually really cool. if she likes you.”
the blonde gave dream a look. “if?”
“i mean, look at sapnap.”
tommy nodded, looking back to the path ahead of them. “that’s fair.”
after a few more minutes of walking, they finally came across a large house in a clearing of the forest. tommy marveled at the prestigious dark oak building, the obvious craftsmanship shining through the outer walls and décor. “should we knock?”
“no,” dream sighed. “she knows we’re here.”
“what do you want, boys?” tommy looked around for the feminine voice that had spoken, but saw nobody around them.
“there’s a storm coming, y/n,” george called out. “can we stay until it passes? we won’t be a bother!”
tommy finally pinpointed her: a pretty girl standing on a balcony attached to the roof, head in her hand as she sighed down at them. her e/c eyes swept over tommy as fluidly as the wind was. “who’s the blonde boy?”
“tommy,” dream spoke for him. he nodded in affirmation.
“one of the l’manberg boys?” she questioned. she didn’t wait for an answer before sighing again, “alright. no wars in my house.” she leant back and flicked a lever and the heavy door swung open for them. they piled into the house just as she came down the stairs for a proper greeting. “evening, boys.”
“hey, y/n,” dream greeted, george waving kindly beside him.
“how long have you been wandering around the area?” she asked, tucking her hands into her back pockets. “i live a little far from the smp.”
“a couple hours,” sapnap offered.
she swept her gaze just barely over the man. “you’re still alive?”
tommy stifled a loud laugh as sapnap grumbled, avoiding y/n’s eyes, “good to see you, too, y/n.”
she didn’t react, just turning back to the other three with a half-smile. “hungry?”
...
the boys sat around while y/n prepared a nice meal for them, shedding off their armor and taking the time to relax as the rain began to fall harshly against the earth.
tommy had been scanning the map he had brought with him when he heard george speak in the distance, “need any help?” he peeked over to see george standing beside y/n in the kitchen, smiling kindly at the woman.
“i’m alright, george,” she brushed before giving him a smile in return. “thank you, though.”
“‘course,” he nodded before heading back into the lounging area they had all gathered in. tommy raised his eyebrow at the blush on george’s cheeks, but wasn’t able to say anything when him and the other boys began to speak quietly to each other.
y/n called them into the kitchen soon after.
“alright,” she hummed, beginning to set warm plates in front of them as they sat at her kitchen table. “salmon, salad, and corn is on the menu for this evening.” sapnap cringed. “and i know you’re weird about salmon, sapnap, so..” his face lit up when he saw the steak she set down in front of him.
“i-” he cut himself off when he looked at you, his cheeks heating up at the thought of whatever he was going to say. he looked back down to his plate. “thank you, y/n.”
“no problem,” she nodded politely. “eat up, boys.”
“are you not gonna eat with us, y/n?” dream asked as they all dug into their meals. a distant crash of thunder echoed.
the girl shrugged as she began to clean the pans she had cooked with. tommy noticed a plate set to the side, presumably her own. “i was going to let you boys have your time.”
“it’s your house, y/n,” dream snickered. “come eat with us.”
she offered a half smile before setting down the dishes and wiping her hands off. “you’re a convincing man, dream,” she sighed as she grabbed her plate, taking the empty seat between him and george. dream smiled.
“i know.”
she shook her head at him before redirecting her attention to tommy. “so tommy, how’s l’manburg?”
“it’s good,” tommy nodded after swallowing his flavorful bite of salmon. “we’ve had a population spike recently, so it’s been hectic, but we’re managing well.”
y/n nodded along. “you’re young, but you seem..” she picked at her food as she considered her words. “confident. that’s a good trait to have. maybe a result of having a good influence in your life.”
“my brother’s wilbur soot,” he clarified, noting how dream pursed his lips at just the name of the l’manburg president.
“ohh,” she hummed. “i know your brother. and your father, for that matter.”
“yeah,” sapnap backed up, eyes locked on his plate. “she knows your brother very well.”
y/n furrowed her brow at the black-haired man. “right.” she turned back to tommy after rolling her eyes at the lack of response from the annoyed man. “so you and wilbur built the nation together?”
“yes ma’am,” tommy nodded. “wilbur always told me that government provides a necessary stability in our lives. maybe he’s crazy, but..”
“he’s definitely crazy,” dream agreed and y/n sent him a glare as tommy rolled his eyes.
“well,” y/n continued, slowly peeling her glare from the masked man to look back to tommy, “that’s one place where wilbur and i disagree.” she shrugged as she stabbed at her food. “government seems like a scam to me.”
tommy furrowed his brow. “can i ask how?”
“governments always advertise the same line,” she spoke with hesitation, “‘by the people, for the people’. but that’s all forgotten when you realize that not all people are the same.” tommy pursed his lips when y/n busied herself with taking a bite of food, considering the brutal words.
“have you ever met my other brother?” he spoke instead of spewing the less kind words that came to mind.
she thought for a moment before shaking her head. “can’t say i have.”
tommy nodded, pointing his fork at her. “you’d like him.”
she let out a laugh, and tommy caught george’s lips quirk into a smile as he looked to the girl. “so, how is wilbur? it’s been a while since i’ve seen him.”
“can we not talk about him?” sapnap spoke abruptly, dropping his fork with a clatter to his plate. his eyes were shut with obvious annoyance.
y/n turned to him with raised brows as tommy’s gaze switched tensely between the two. george and dream seemed less than fazed. “you can try to argue, but you’re gonna lose,” she spoke calmly, eyes meeting with sapnap’s when he finally opened them again. the man clenched his jaw before pushing back his chair harshly and stomping out of the room.
y/n just sighed, turning to a frowning dream and a pursed-lipped george. “i know you guys don’t wanna hear either. go after him, ‘cause i’m not going to disrupt good conversation to appease other people.”
george immediately pushed away from the table, grabbing his half-eaten plate as he chased after his friend. dream pushed away slower, leaning down to kiss y/n’s cheek and mutter a, “i’m sorry and thank you,” before following george.
tommy blinked in surprise after they were gone. “i’m, uh..” he looked back over to y/n. “i’m assuming you had a thing with my brother?”
she shook her head. “no, i didn’t.” tommy raised his eyebrows curiously as she continued, “when i was still with sapnap, wilbur did ask me out. i said no, and we were still friends, but sapnap never let it go. honestly, i don’t know why he still hasn’t..”
“it seems like it bothers the others boys, too,” tommy noted.
y/n shrugged, taking a bite of her food. “those two.. are strange. i imagine they just became protective of me because i dated someone they’re best friends with.” the answer didn’t quite sit right with tommy.
“right..”
she gave him a look. “you think they’re in love with me, too.”
tommy immediately spoke through a mouth full of food, “too?!”
y/n snickered at his interest. “what, you think i could be oblivious to it all? no, sapnap and i dated for two years before he cut it off. dream and george have always been like that around me, even before we started dating. it’s like it’s always been a competition of who’s the least scared to approach y/n.”
“he cut it off?” tommy spoke with interest.
she nodded, leaning back in her chair casually. “every couple goes through a fighting phase. it’s usually toward the beginning of the relationship, like ours was, because you’re still learning how you and your partner fit together.” tommy nodded. “but the fighting phase should not last for a year.”
tommy’s jaw dropped. “A YEAR?!”
you chuckled at his expression. “some people just don’t mix. but we were trying really hard to, and it took a while to just accept that we just.. didn’t.” you shrugged when tommy frowned. “sure, it’s sad. at the end of the day, sapnap is a good guy and he’ll always have a place in my heart where i can remember the good of that relationship. but we hurt each other a lot more than we helped each other.”
just then, sapnap walked slowly into the kitchen, as if trying not to startle a flighty animal. “hey, y/n, the storm isn’t looking like it’s going to lighten anytime soon, and-”
“you can all take the guest room,” you cut in, your tone a tad sharper than it was with tommy. “but the second the storm lightens, get out of here.” you turned a sardonic smirk up to him, watching a blush erupt on his cheeks. “you're good at leaving after you get what you want, anyway.”
sapnap turned with a roll of his eyes, smartly keeping his lips shut, and you turned your smirk to an amused tommy. “still gotta give him hell for breaking up with me, though.”
“respect,” tommy nodded. as you took a few more bites of your food, he gathered the courage to ask, “so you haven’t dated the other two, have you?”
you let out a chuckle, but otherwise seemed unsurprised by his question. “no, those two are just friends. i can see where you got the thought, considering they act ridiculous around me, but we’re just friends.”
“doesn’t it bother sapnap?” tommy gossiped curiously. “or did, when you were together?”
you nodded as you took a sip of water. “oh yeah. they’re all bugged by each other’s interactions with me. but they’re like petty girls and don’t say a word about it.” tommy snickered as you shrugged. “that’s just how it’s always been.” tommy nodded, turning his gaze down to his plate. “so, how is wilbur?”
later that evening, the storm was showing no sign of lightening. fortunately, your guest room had two beds and a grand amount of blankets for the boys to work with.
“if you need anything, i’m down the hall,” you yawned as the men settled in, leaning on the doorframe. “i have an early morning, so if i don’t catch you before you leave, safe travels back to your places, boys.”
george latched onto you in a tight hug, muttering something into your hair that tommy couldn’t hear but made you smile. dream swept in next, turning his mask to press another kiss to your cheek, taking more time with this one. tommy nearly gagged as dream muttered something in your ear, hand lingering in a cradle on your chin. you turned to give tommy a half-smile as they stepped away.
“do good things, kid,” you spoke, gaze sweeping over him as it did when he first approached. “you’ve got it in you.” his chest warmed with a small swell of pride and gratitude.
“you have a friend in l’manburg if you ever decide to visit,” he offered with a smile.
“thank you,” you nodded, and he could tell you were biting your tongue at some smart comment. he appreciated the gesture. your gaze finally turned to sapnap, whose stare was as stony as it could be. “safe travels.” your gaze stayed locked on him as you straightened and disappeared down the hall, and tommy could always feel the lingering of that stare in the air. when he looked, sapnap was tomato red.
and the other boys just looked satisfied with themselves as they settled into their arrangements.
“what?” dream scoffed, and tommy realized he was shaking his head.
he scoffed back, “i have never seen a group of men break the bro code so much in the span of two hours. you’re like schoolgirls.” he watched the men’s faces all drop their satisfied looks just before he blew out the candle providing the main light in the room. “good night, losers.”

You sat perched on the top rail of the wooden fence, your hands tucked deep into the fleece lining of your fluffy coat, watching him.
There he was, swinged and moved like a storm anchored to the earth—fluid, brutal, and entirely terrifying in his efficiency.
His Netherite broadsword carried the weight of a man who had fought like a thousand wars, his heavy boots kicking up dust and frost with every precise footfall.
The Arctic wind howled against the heavy spruce walls of the courtyard, but inside the ring, the air was suffocatingly hot.
Across from him, his dummy, reinforced with iron plates and heavy leather, lay shredded, barely holding together.
You didn't interrupt. You knew better than to break his focus when the red glint in his eyes was that sharp. In the quiet of the tundra, sparring wasn't just a routine for Technoblade; it was an exorcism.
It was the only way he could burn off the relentless hum of the Chat, forcing the demands for blood out of his skull through punishing physical labor.
So, you waited. Patient, silent, and warm in the late-afternoon chill.
With one final, thunderous blow, the blade cleaved through the wooden torso of the target, sending a cloud of sawdust into the frigid air. Technoblade held the pose for a long, quiet second, his chest heaving under the weight of his iron chestplate. His breath billowed out in thick, white plumes, mingling with the steam rising from his body.
Slowly, the crimson glow in his dark eyes softened, receding back into his natural, deep blue hue. He wiped a hand across his forehead, smearing sweat into the pink hair that had escaped his messy braid.
Then, he turned. The moment his gaze locked onto you sitting by the fence, the lethal edge on his expression melted into something entirely unreadable to the rest of the world, but delightfully familiar to you.
"Too much," You called out, a light smirk tugging at your lips as you shifted on the fence rail. "I was starting to think you were going to fight that dummy until dusk."
Technoblade rolled his shoulders, unbuckling his broadsword with a heavy metallic clatter and dropping it carelessly onto a nearby weapon rack. "The dummy put up a decent fight today," he grunted, his voice low, gravelly, and laced with that distinct, dry deadpan tone. "Almost had me in the second half."
He didn't bother taking off his chestplate, nor did he pause to wipe the sweat glistening off his neck. The moment his hands were free, he took long strides toward you.
"Techno, wha-wait—"
Before you could finish the sentence, he closed the distance and lunged forward. His massive hands caught you around the waist, lifting you effortlessly right off the top rail of the fence.
You let out a startled laugh that was immediately cut short as he pulled you violently tight against his chest.
"Techno! You're soaked!" you gasped, trying to pull back, though your hands reflexively found their way to his broad shoulders.
"I don't care," he muttered, burying his face directly into the crook of your neck.
He was boiling. The heat radiating off him felt like standing too close to a furnace. The metallic tang of iron, sweat, and cold winter pine clung to his skin, washing over you in a heavy wave.
His tusks brushed gently against the sensitive skin of your shoulder through your scarf that signaled he was finally letting the adrenaline leave his system.
He squeezed you harder, lifting you entirely off the ground so your feet dangled uselessly. The cold chestplate dug slightly into your ribs, but the warmth of his arms wrapped around your lower back made it impossible to care.
"Gross," you huffed softly, though you couldn't suppress the fond smile pressing into his neck. You raised a hand, running your fingers up into the damp hair at the base of his head, gently untangling a few strays from his braid. "You're completely drenched, Blade. You're going to freeze if you stay out here."
"I have fire resistance," he grunted into your neck, his voice muffled. "And piglin blood. I'll be fine."
"That's not how hypothermia works."
"I am literally built different," he countered smoothly, though he made no move to put you down. He swayed slightly from side to side, a subtle motion he only ever did when his mind was finally settling into peace.
You sighed, wrapping both arms securely around his thick shoulders, letting your weight rest entirely on him. "Voices giving you a hard time today?" you asked quietly, your tone softening from teasing to tender.
Technoblade went still for a bit second before sighing that vibrated straight through his chest into yours.
"They were so loud," he admitted, his voice barely louder than the wind rustling the nearby spruce needles. "Demanding things. The usual nonsense. But..." He shifted, pulling back just enough to look at you.
His face was flushed pink, a mixture of the brutal workout and the cold air, and sweat glistened along his sharp cheekbones and piglin ears. But his eyes were clear. The dark, frantic bloodlust was entirely gone, replaced by a quiet affection reserved solely for you.
"They shut up... when you're around," he added, his ears twitching slightly, a dead giveaway of his rare moments of shyness. "They don't like quiet, but you make it easy to ignore them."
Your heart softened, a familiar warmth spreading through your chest. You reached up, cupping his sweaty cheek with your palm. He leaned into the touch instantly, a low audible rumble rising in his chest and a swine-hybrid purr he would vehemently deny making if anyone else were around.
"Well," you murmured, thumbing away a drop of sweat near his temple. "Then I guess I'll just have to stay right here."
"Good," Techno grunted, his classic stoic demeanor returning, though the softening of his eyes betrayed him. "Because I'm not putting you down anyway. You're my heating pad now."
"I'm pretty sure you're the one heating me up," you laughed as he finally shifted his grip, carrying you easily in his arms as he turned toward the warm, lit windows of the cottage. "Are you actually going to take a shower, or do I have to drag you to the bath myself?"
"I am an anarchist warrior, not a lover of hot water," he deadpanned, carrying you up the wooden steps of the porch.
"You're a sticky mess who needs to wash his hair."
Techno paused at the door, nudging it open with his boot, looking down at you with a small, genuine twitch of a smile cornering his lips. Stepping into the warm entryway and kicking the door shut against the howling Arctic wind. "But you're helping with the braid.

Technoblade x Reader Romantic Headcanons (DSMP)
Protective, but Respectful:
Techno is protective of you—but never overbearing. He trusts you can hold your own, but if anyone even thinksabout hurting you, they won’t get the chance twice. He’s all blood for the Blood God... unless it comes to you. Then he’s soft-spoken, gentle, and observant.
Quiet Affection:
Techno isn’t loud about his feelings. He doesn’t do grand romantic gestures. His love is shown in little things: extra enchanted gear in your chest, quietly leading you away from danger, long silences filled with mutual comfort.
You’re the Only One Who Can Calm Him:
When the voices get too loud, or his bloodlust takes hold, your presence—your voice—is one of the few things that helps anchor him. He doesn’t know why, but he trusts you to pull him back.
Shared Battles & Training:
He teaches you to fight, but he also learns your own combat style. Sparring with you is one of his favorite forms of quality time. Win or lose, he’s impressed with how quick you are. And sometimes you can even make him smile in the middle of a fight.
Unspoken Bond:
You two don’t always talk much. But the connection runs deep. A glance across the battlefield, a hand on your shoulder, a nod when words don’t suffice—it’s all there.
Scene 1: "The Calm After the Bloodbath"
The battlefield is littered with the remnants of war. Smoke curls into the sky, and blood stains the dirt beneath your feet. You feel your knees start to buckle, the adrenaline crashing out of your system.
You barely register the footsteps until you feel a hand wrap gently around your wrist.
“You alright?” Techno asks, his voice lower than usual—almost tender.
You nod, but he doesn’t seem convinced. His eyes flick to the gash on your shoulder, and without a word, he pulls a potion from his inventory and hands it to you. You meet his gaze.
He doesn’t say I’m glad you’re okay, but the way his hand lingers just a second too long on yours says it for him.
Scene 2: "Training Days"
You’re panting, blade clattering to the floor as you drop into the snow.
“You lasted longer this time,” he says, offering you a hand. “Impressive.”
You roll your eyes but take his hand, letting him pull you to your feet. He doesn’t let go right away. You glance up at him.
“Techno,” you say, voice teasing, “if I didn’t know better, I’d say you like fighting me.”
His ears go pink beneath the helmet. “Yeah, well... you’re not bad.”
Then he adds, quieter, “And I like the excuse to be close to you.”
Your heart skips a beat. You think maybe the training’s not the only thing that leaves you breathless.
Scene 3: "Night in the Cabin"
It’s quiet in the cabin. A storm rages outside, snow beating against the windows. You’re curled up beside the fireplace, legs tangled with Technoblade’s, his cloak draped over the both of you.
He’s reading, but his fingers are absentmindedly tracing circles against your arm.
“You ever think about what comes after all this?” you ask quietly.
He looks over at you, eyes soft. “Yeah,” he says after a pause. “Sometimes.”
You turn toward him, and he closes the book. “And?”
“And you’re in it,” he says.
He doesn’t elaborate. He doesn’t need to. You reach out and lace your fingers through his. The war can wait. Tonight, you’re just his.
I had this idea of past life grian x reader in my head and I was like “why not write it”

Universe: past life
It was a peaceful afternoon by server standards. The sun hung overhead in a golden haze, and the quiet was broken only by the occasional cough from a certain ginger head female
Gem, wrapped in a thick blanket, sat slumped beside Pearl on the porch of their base. Her voice had gone croaky and nasally after a rough few days, and she was currently sipping hot beetroot soup while Pearl kept guard over the trap-filled front lawn. Grian stood nearby, fiddling with some of the TNT and signs
“I mean, it should’ve worked,” he muttered, mostly to himself. “All the timing was right, and the TNT was rigged perfect…”
Pearl raised a brow. “Didn’t Scar walk over the pressure plates earlier, though? Didn’t blow up?”
Grian scoffed, throwing his hands in the air. “Yeah, that’s the weird part! Scar strolled right across the whole thing, like—like he had some kind of plot armour the trap just fizzled! TNT blew, sure, but the sand never fell. It was like—like the trap took a nap mid-process!”
Gem coughed again “That’s because you wired it with your sleep-deprived brain, probably.”
“Excuse me,” Grian sniffed. “It was a flawless design in theory.”
“You mean like your last four traps?” Pearl teased.
“Those don’t count—!”
Hey, Grian!” a voice called brightly from across the grass.
He perked up instantly, head snapping toward the familiar sound. You were jogging toward him with a smile that could burn down empires — not that you’d ever need to. You were already his favorite person in this world, and the past ones, too.
His heart warmed at the sight of you happily walking towards him, waving. He waved back, a little too enthusiastically.
And that’s when it happened.
Your foot tapped a pressure plate, and you blinked, confused as the ground hissed beneath you.
The sand vanished. You yelped, plunging into the darkness below.
Boom.
The explosion didn’t echo long, but the silence that followed felt like it lasted a lifetime.
“Oh my god—did I just kill them?” Grian asked, his voice cracking, eyes wide in horror.
Pearl blinked. “Um.”
Gem, still wrapped in her blanket cocoon, slowly turned her head to Grian.
In the most deadpan, nasally, judgmental voice possible, she croaked,
“Oh no, Grian… what did you do.”
I just— I JUST FIXED THE WIRING LAST MINUTE AS A JOKE!” Grian shouted, panic rising in his voice. “I didn’t think anyone was gonna ACTUALLY—!”
He ran over to the hole, practically tripping over himself in his haste, and dropped to his knees at the edge. Smoke still curled from the center, faint items floating in the crater from your inventory.
Grian let out the most pathetic whimper imaginable.
Pearl gently patted his shoulder. “Oof. That’s, uh… gonna be a tough conversation later.”
Gem sniffled. “Y’know… if I were them, I’d respawn just to kill you back.”
Etho who seemly come out of nowhere nodded. “Yeah. Grian trap-killing his own partner might be the most the villains thing that’s ever happened.”
Grian just give Etho a Deadpan look
——————
Scar was locked in an intense battle.
Not with a mob, not with another player.
But with a crafting table.
“Okay… sticks go here… and the string goes… no, no, that’s a fishing rod. Ugh! Why does it always look like a fishing rod?!” he groaned, dragging the string around wildly. “C’mon, I just want to make a bow! A bow, not a net for fish feelings!”
Suddenly —
poof
You respawned in your bed with the soft chime of re-entry.
Scar didn’t even turn around at first. “Hey, welcome back! Wait—were you even gone? Or am I losing it again? Etho says I’m always losing it but I think I’m just—”
He finally turned.
You were sitting up slowly on the bed, disheveled, skin still slightly singed around the edges, bits of gravel in your hair. Your eyes were wide, staring at nothing. You hadn’t even looked at him.
“…What just happened,” you said, voice soft, almost dazed.
Scar blinked. “Uhhh. That’s a big question. Like—philosophically?”
You didn’t answer.
Just sat there.
Still not looking at him.
Scar gently set the half-bow-half-fishing-rod monstrosity aside, slowly approaching like someone trying not to spook a wild animal. “Did… someone kill you?”
