I’m a sucker for anything trippy, here’s some fluorescent gouache on paper, some tide water creatures floating in my head, makes me happy and chill. How far can you explore the inner workings of your imagination? Where do you go out of habit? Where do you go to learn about yourself? Where do you go to let out sadness, rage, numbness, those emotions that have no words? How does it express itself? Do you write it down? Imagine a story, a character? Think it? Sing it, murmur it in prose? Take that energy; and aim it, zero in on the essentials, create your own language to express it, now fire it away. #teachingartist #jungianpsychology #arttherapy #artwisdom #covidcoping #healingart #painting #nycart #queerart #queerwisdom #brooklynartists (at South Slope, Brooklyn) https://www.instagram.com/p/B_VvCimlLGp/?igshid=1sbf652jsxome
Simon's been getting more enthusiastic about drawing lately (which of course I love) and last week he drew this rad samurai all by himself. I'm even more proud of him because he started another one right before this and got very frustrated, but I was able to tell him, "Look, even a bad drawing is practice to help you draw better next time." And then he was able to keep trying. And if that isn't a lesson every artist needs to learn, I don't know what is. . posted on Instagram - https://ift.tt/2Poc3YC

I had the honor of painting this drum for a very special human to our world. I learned so much from what came through. He wanted it to carry the message of "living beyond our dreams". So many of us strive to get to the highest peak of our own mountain. We climb to one peak, then the next, then the next. Hopefully for some, they enjoy the view on the way up. But why all of that effort when we can catch a ride with the sun? Instead we can let go of the mountain, and use our hearts as our North Star, pull it out of our body and throw it into the sky where it belongs for the whole world to enjoy. Because our hearts are connected to the universal heart. It knows where we as a universal system are headed. If we allow our light to shine as bright as the sun, we can catch a ride with it, above all of the mountain tops, the oceans and the trees. There is no limit to where we can travel when we allow the world to move around us. I love how this mountain looks like it's hoisting him up, like a teacher letting his student go. Breathe into your hearts and shine on everyone!! 🙏🏽💗✨ #sacredgeometry #floweroflife #merkaba #artwisdom
