Arya!
Violet. F5. Arya.
I have always believed that there are many ways to know a person.
When she was Violet, she was someone I looked up to. Someone whose passion and heart for theatre, I emulated. She was someone I drew strength and inspiration from - and I guess, I can say the whole cast did too. One time, I hung around during a leads' rehearsal - and maybe it was the hormones (there are always hormones involved), but when she and Mikah sang Who Will Love Me As I Am, I was bawling. And I wasn't even drunk. I was just so moved by her performance.
Stages of Love was what paved way for the camaraderie that we shared (being co-Newbies) into that full-blown friendship. Of all the memories that we shared during those wonderful months of rehearsals and sleep-overs and eating dinner at my place (instead of McDo because I was grounded) and Flip Cup and Cheeseburgers and Tangled and really, I can keep going. But of all those memories, I have a favorite. It was when we watched my uncle's concert at Eastwood, drenched in the rain, singing our hearts out, and we were both in this little bubble of happiness that only seemed to be expanding. The words escape me, and that night is nothing but a blur now, but they say that there are nights you will never forget because these are the nights that made you feel most alive - well, this was one of them.
Soaked to the bone, a live concert and good company.
Arya Herrera.
In the two years that I have gotten to know her, I have always known (and it is undeniable) that she would make it big.
I have always believed that there are many ways to know a person and in the many ways that I know Arya, I know this much: Arya Herrera - she will be a household name one day.
Give me a name and I will tell you a story!
