Thanks for having a nice blog!
I know you're shutting this blog down so I just wanted to send you a thank you for running the blog for as long as you did. As an ace person the contents of this blog made me very happy. Seeing my experiences being reflected in the lives of my favourite characters meant a lot to me, so thank you for taking the time to hunt down and reblog all the wonderful ace!spn fics and headcanons produced by this fandom :)
I’m glad to hear that you’ve enjoyed this blog. Thank you for following, and thank you for this lovely message!
"Willow hadn’t figured out quite how to describe it other than a stillness. Like the subtle static before a record started to play. Early mornings and that first sip of coffee. The moment before you stepped onto a stage and there was nothing but the pounding in your chest. Slow, lazy days when no one in the city dared to move and rain filled the holes in the road. Here, under the covers with Harry, both of their hands tracing patterns along each other’s skin." what even this is sO BEAUTIFUL
*flings myself on the couch and cries*
The fact you've managed to make people fall in love and want music from a band that doesn't even exist, shows your true talent as a writer. 'Silver Springs' is one of the greatest stories I have ever read; (I'm an English Literature student as well, I've read a lot.) Thank you for devoting your time and talent into something so incredible xx
oh wow, that is so kind of you to say! it is far from great but i’m so happy you’ve liked it!! THANK YOU for reading and having such lovely things to say, it really does mean so much to me :)
Can we just stop with wincest ?? Please?????
It is tagged, please blacklist it. This blog is for any and every post about SPN + asexuality, regardless about the ship. If we have failed to tag something, please let us know and we will try our best in the future.
Hello, i am potentially interested in helping to mod, if you could possibly explain in a little more detail what that might entail?
Yes, of course. Here’s how it would go:
We add you to the blog’s administrators.
You periodically check ace-spn tags such as ace!cas, ace!sam, ace!dean.
You check to see if it has been reblogged already.
You reblog ace-spn posts using the blog’s usual tagging system.
And that’s about it. You wouldn’t have to run any events or anything at all, no pressure other than “oh hey, I/my friend/this person posted something about asexuality and supernatural, I should reblog that.”
i love how it's canon that while sam and dean were raised in the same hyper masculine environment, sam doesn't have the desire to have casual sex with lots of women like dean does. soulless!sam aside, sam always seems to need to have some kind of connection with a woman before having sex. even with one-offs like madison and dr. cara, they're the ones to make the first move and he doesn't show interest until after they've been talking and connecting. basically what i'm saying is fuck yea demi!sam
Mod M here again. I think the boys are really a product of their circumstances, but for different reasons. Dean probably learned early on that his good looks brought people close, and, because they often had to leave town within short periods of time, learned to not get attached to people (as much as he probably wanted to. We all know Dean is more of a softie than he likes to let on). So really, his proclivity for casual sex isn’t that surprising. (You could also make the argument that sex was a good escape and stress relief for someone who had to shoulder a lot of responsibility from a very young age.)
Meanwhile, as we learned in the last episode, Sam was often lonely when Dean left on hunts with John. He was a geeky kid and - again, because of their nomadic lifestyle - was usually the new kid, which means he was probably even less popular with his peers. I think he started to crave real connection with people, not the fleeting moments that Dean was wont to cling to. So for Sam, he really needs that deeper connection before he can find a person sexually attractive.
Anyway, yeah, these are just my thoughts on the matter. YMMV, of course. I’d love to hear other people’s opinions on this. :3
