Laura Andrews(by Anabel Shaw)' baby Johnny is a only heir according to the will of his grandfather Jonathan Andrews I. Laura's husband Jonathan Andrews II was killed in the war, and Jonathan Andrews I's sisters, Faith(by Ida Moore) and Hope(by Florence Auer), decided to evict Laura—the biggest obstacle—so they could take all the inheritance meant for Laura's son. Faith and Hope bribe a psychiatrist to have Laura diagnosed as insane and confined to an asylum. To prevent her son from falling into Faith and Hope's hands, Laura secretly hides him in a laundry room run by the Bowery Boys.
