As it Ends

Tonight was the last night of my Freshman year. I wrote my final philosophy paper with a half a bottle of wine and then climbed the side of one of my favorite buildings at Rhodes to look at the stars behind the Rhodes Tower. When I flip through the pictures from freshman year of high school to freshman year of college the only part of myself I recognize is my crooked smile. 

Everything has changed, people have shifted places, moved into new boxes or left them entirely. I've become a different version of myself and seen that version fight for my life the past three years. 

But in every stage of my life I always smile as if the world is on fire just for me. And I hope I never lose that.
