It wasn't hard to see that Lumine had been pushed to the point of exhaustion. Exam season was brutal even to the toughest of scholars and everyone needed a break, he wasn't ashamed to say he was one of these people. Resting is as important as pushing your limits. He wondered if she got that. The odd chances he got to see her around campus, she looked more tired than usual (though undoubtedly just as pretty) and he couldn't help but worry. So, the night before he cut team night and stayed home to make pierogi, just like how his mum taught him. But every time he did, they weren't exactly right. He probably made about 5 batches before he thought they were good enough- in the process having called his mum 3 times and made 2 trips to the shops. At about 2am he flopped on his bed and in the morning woke to his pillow with a faint floury imprint.

After a shower, breakfast, another full day of classes, practice and the clock finally crawling on to 8pm, Ajax found himself in front of Lumine's dorm.

Undoubtedly, she looked cute in her nightwear. Like a bunny. It made his heart melt.

Ajax waved off her comment about his exams and stepped inside as she moved. "Okay first rule, no 'E' words." Exams, education, essays- none of it. He placed the basket down on the table and removed his jacket.

Netflix and chill? oh- Ajax laughed, he supposed he understood her concern. "No, just friends tonight." Speaking of- "Aren't your room mates around?"

Ethan. He tells himself he's taking her to Miami because she's his only friend and confidant (which is true). But by this time, Ethan has this constant need to be around Aparna, to ask after her day, update her about Naveen and hope she'd ask after him too.

Alan dotes on Aparna. Louise has limited presence in their lives, but she respects Ethan's choice and even warms up to Aparna once she realises her significance in Ethan's life.

Aparna's mother and siblings adore Ethan. Her father is the tough nut, but they bond over Aparna's lacklustre attitude to her investments. Eventually he is their biggest supporter when the extended family Aparna meets biennially keeps reminding her that she's 30+ and unmarried.

I like to think that part of the reason Sisko keeps Garak around is his penchant for knowing about/finding and then either catching or killing other, less obvious spies.
