it drives me nuts how non self aware every move from people around ojp is. I actually like the way he himself navigates pr while still trying to be honest, but the fact people like his friends (ahem Caio) and what I assume is people with access to his account are so painfully unaware of how the media and fans will respond is crazy. I genuinely find it embarrassing how long it is taking to remove that repost, I've done quicker fixes to stuff like that in marketing and communications work I've done with a SIX person international team than McLaren with people in a timezone that could see the issue and fix it right now.

I genuinely hope for his sake that he gets the people around him sorted because this is crazy shit from a pr point of view. The fact this could've been unreposted already if people were on it and had access to his account...

But I also need fans to get a grasp at large because nothing is wrong about him checking out public opinion about himself if it was himself who accidentally reposted.

eh i don’t think there’s anything wrong with him scrolling and looking at that stuff, i think there is an issue if he’s going to make mistakes and end up doing damage to his team. the first time he accidentally reposted smth about lando it just looked a bit ridiculous, but it should have tipped off either him or someone around him that there was a risk of it happening with something worse and he should have made a private account bc as it stands a mclaren driver reposting shit about how the team favour his teammate, accidental as i do think it was, is going to go down pretty badly with everyone

i do agree that the people around him need to get their shit together, and that someone should have picked up on this repost a hell of a lot quicker to avoid the inevitable shitstorm, but to be honest webber’s done the ‘the team prefers lando’ thing this season so i’m not sure it can be chalked off as a lack of awareness of how folks will respond. if the people around him are talking off vibes rather than from him he does need to be the one to shut it down because it’s his very close circle including his manager making shit worse for him, not just people with a little more distance

Took today off to stave off the burn-out coming for my throat and was looking forward to getting either Chapter 18's rewrite finished or transferring all my notes for the new project out of 'jail.' (Off my phone-only notes app).

However my cat has decided neither of those will get done. Man. I remember when she used to be the best little writing buddy. Now she is a menace.
