[ milo ventimiglia, cis male ] - did you know EMERSON BECKETT is back in town ? i’ve heard that the THIRTY TWO year old has been gone for SIX YEARS and used to be known as THE STARRY EYED. now people call them THE RECLUSE but they’re still IDEALISTIC, and ALTRUISTIC as usual. right now they’re busy as a COFFEE SHOP OWNER but i hope we have time to catch up ! 

ok so basically !! emerson grew up as the oldest of four kids & was ur typical golden boy?? he’s always had such a soft lil heart 

he also .,, grew up on a farm it was a lil local fruit farm & his family was deVOTED to it and obviously emerson was expected to do the same !!

from a young age, emerson rly rly loved school strangely?? his family never considered it that much of a priority but emerson genuinely loved it and learned very quickly!! he read things on his own (anything he could get his hands on), lit knew the most useless random facts and would go around sharing them and yea sdjfjfsd he was a nerd since early on

he was always interested in learning nd would hide books in his room bc his family,, although they loved him They made fun of him a lot for it tbh?? they jus didn’T rly get it 

but he didn’t resent them for it or anything!!! he was always just very discreet abt his passion for knowledge but it really didn’t stop him from anything!! he had pals, was sort of ?? popular in school, nd yea !! 

as much as he loved his family though, emerson never planned on staying in aston. he always knew he’d be going somewhere else and didn’t really care where he was going as long as it was somewhere new. growing up in such a small town, he saw such little of the world yet read so much about it and wanted so badly to see it in person

his family disAPPROVED but he made it to university!!! he was Broke as hell, but was so adamant in followin his dreams nd becomin a vet!! he got a scholarship and went to school in new york thx 2 his GOod grades nd got some financial support from his parents

alsO, he moved w his high school sweetheart, laura, and they both went to uni together!! when they were 18, they got married and moved in together but pretty quickly that broke lmao

his family…..seldom supported him so ,, he worked a lot during his classes but managed 2 slip by

so ,, emerson managed to graduate but this was also the yr that his gf left him so he was……pretty heartbroken (keep in mind,, this gal was the love of his life nd he’s so so so easy 2 break when it comes to love) and didn’t really know what to do with himself?? going to new york was his dream but that dream involved laura,, but fun fact: they never actually legally filed for divorce lmao legally they’re still Married oops

he didn’t want 2 stay in new york anymore but to return to aston nd prove to his family that he ended up actually not going thru with his dreams after everything?? nope , 

@ this point he was fdjsjd really lost tbh he’d always been so happy nd certain of himself during high school / up until this point but he was questioning everything nd lost so much of his self esteem?? he just wasn’t sure of what he wanted @ all anymore nd sort of floated for the next few yrs

he sorta began ,, losing contact w his family as he didn’t really have anything to return back to them with anymore ?? for three yrs he sort of Just ,, did random jobs nd probably never stayed in one place for longer than a few months?? i’m still trying to determine the specific details heh

anyway when he was 25 he finally admitted defeat nd returned 2 aston :/ this!! was when he met valerie nd she became pregnant from a one night stand oops ,, long story short they were strangers that were Forced into a situation nd emerson?? found loVE again??? but she didn’t feel the same way nd a year after their kid (thea) was born she peaced out

after tht he was…..devastated again but he dealt w it a lOT better than his marriage bc now he had thea 2 look after and she was/is basically?? his life?? it was the push he needed 2 get his life together and once again, they moved away to seattle where he worked at a research lab for a bit !! it was fun and all but it wasn’t,, his dream?? he never enjoyed being in a lab all day as much as he enjoyed science nd craved more buT he stuck w it for the sake of thea

moved back 2 aston a few weeks ago !! now that thea’s a lil older (she’s 6 yrs old), he figured it’d be a lil better to find something new and start over again. reluctantly, he’s moved back to aston & is slowly ,, tryin to reconnect again (fiLL MY WCS FOR FAMILY MEMBERS) 

nd when he was in aston the last time, he worked @ a cafe whose owner he became very very close w !! recently, they passed away nd so he spent some saved up money 2 purchase the place & make it his own :’) it’s a lil library/cafe kind of thing but basically just an excuse for him 2 read and drink coffee all day for a living ://

personality wise, emerson’s always been so soso idealistic and such a romantic but that’s definitely been worn down a lot in recent yrs. he’s had to become a lot more practical and realistic at how he approaches life hence why emerson’s stopped taking risks the way he’s used to, and has fallen into habits and routines. moving 2 aston was definitely not a decision taken lightly !!

he’s had to settle a lot but :(( he tries 2 remain optimistic ,, he’s not cynical or anything he just .. knows better than to conjure up wild dreams

he’s so sefless like he feels so guilty if he does something for himself?? esp after having a kid and even after living on his own w laura, he’s used to giving up stuff and making sacrifices for other people so ,, he just feels like someone else deserves help more than him?? someone gotta remind him to take care of himself too

tbh emerson has a lot of surface lvl relationships but not a lot of super deep ones just bc he’s so bad at maintaining relationships and unless someone initiates it then he hates making the first move bc he feels awkward and like he’s bein annoying but if he loves u he will stick with u no matter WHAT ,,  he’s so dedicated to the relationships in his life

probs seems annoyed sometimes but rly he’s just in his thoughts too much nd in actuality is very nice !! 

literally carries around snacks everywhere just in case also probs hands out water bottles .. he is everyones dad ok

she and her younger bro and sis were raised by their dad bc mom left right after her baby bro was born

 she was never close w/ dad they disagreed on everything and he was always so caught up in work (they still grew up v poor) and trying to get over his ex wife that he shut his kids out (mostly nova bc she was constantly rebelling against all his wishes)

she’s back in town bc dad died suddenly an she knows even tho he was kinda shitty, her siblings need her around

she’s been off the last ten years modeling and hasn’t been back since running away at 17

she didn’t even graduate hs but got her ged after she fled home for nyc 

she didn’t really have a plan when coming back so for right now she’s living on her savings and a trust fund from dad (whoa surprise he was loaded and saved it all for the kids)

for now thats most the imp stuff but i have a stats page here and plots here and will soon have a real bio! so if you wanna, hmu and let’s plot some stuff and things <3

I THOUGHT I WOULD BE BRIEF BUT I GOT TOO INTO THIS AND WENT OVERBOARD !! casually ignoring that..... i’m k8 and this is basically a far too long rundown of antisocial’s babysitter tenoch alverado ! honestly if you’re lazy like i am just like this post for plots and i’ll message u with an abridged version of teno’s entire life story, lmao. anyway............

[ diego luna, cis male ] - did you know tenoch alverado is back in town ? i’ve heard that the thirty four year old has been gone for seven years and used to be known as the taciturn. now people call them the apotropaic but they’re still old-fashioned and giving as usual. right now they’re busy as a touring security guard and technician for antisocial but i hope we have time to catch up !

in the BEGINNING...

firstly if u recognise his name then yes i did name him after diego’s character in y tu mama tambien bc i’m VERY subtle

tenoch is a big pile of mussed hair and big smiles born and raised mexico with his ma !

he didn’t really know his dad; his parents divorced before he was born so it was mostly just him and his mom in mexico, whilst his dad lived somewhere across the border in america.

he never met him, nor did he visit, but honestly he wouldn’t blame him - he and his mom were attached at the hip, and sometimes even he was scared to walk down the street alone in his own hometown.

but no hard feelings ! he wasn’t really bothered by it, and it wasn’t like his dad was some horrible criminal that his mom had to break up with, and he’d send monthly childcare checks to help ( which his ma taught him to be grateful for, despite not really knowing the guy ), so it really wasn’t too bad !

and to make up for it, he and his mom were just closer than ever !! they were all each other had, so tenoch was always helping her around the house and even working after school to make some extra money, how pure

there was some kind of dissonance though. tenoch didn’t know what it was but he could feel it. like their humble, half broken but functional home felt a little too empty, how he never seemed to hold a friend, the pit in his stomach when police just strolled around his hometown, he grew up with a certain unsettlement - broken house broken home, he was always waiting for something worse to happen.

and he figured out from a young age that the best way to deal with that was to tread lightly - having acquaintances, not friends, playing football but never joining the team - he became the polite little boy next door that everyone liked, but didn’t seem to actually know that much about.

maybe when he’s older and he’s looking back on his childhood he’d realise it was stupid of him not to put himself out there, but he never got a chance to do that, because the dissonance ?? it’s here.

( TW; DEATH ) he’s fifteen when the police show up on his door to tell him that his mom’s been killed. he honestly can’t remember how - his brain has blocked the memory out, and he has absolutely no interest in trying to read between the lines of a death certificate, shoved somewhere deep below custody papers and junk mail - but he’s displaced.

and then he meets his father for the first time.

he remembers very clearly what it was like sleeping with child protective services, but even more so the first time he meets his father at the airport, his hand motioning him towards the gate, ready to take him to his so called home. 

putting a hispanic kid in the middle of rural white america in a suburban house, mind you with a living room the size of his entire home in mexico, never worked out well. his polite resolve was breaking, but nothing made him want to keep the façade up than the sterile politeness of his own father ( maybe that’s where he got it from ).

so he kinda started switching ?? it was hard when he barely spoke english, but he chose his moods inside and outside the house, brooding and shy at his high school and keeping up with polite appearances at the dinner table.

the only way he could let himself breathe and fuck about, expelling his pent up frustration and grief through a multitude of spanish curses, was to drive out of his town somewhere remote at night and sleep in his secondhand van out by a lake or the woods.

it’s just a wash and dry cycle of the above with some underaged drinking and smoking inbetween that pulls him through high school. he graduates with an average gpa, but he knows immediately that he doesn’t want to go to college - his english keeps him afloat in social situations but he wouldn’t let himself be put through the wringer again, especially when he knew he could just get a job immediately. that had always been the plan before his dad swooped in with the money, so why change ?

maybe his dad had a change of heart ever since he got remarried, but he was actually okay with it - their problem didn’t seem to be a hatred or regret, but rather an awkward unknowing of what to say, what to do. so he let tenoch take the van anywhere, so long as he got a job and called every once in a while.

and he actually does alright ! with all his time alone with the van and being the stereotypical shy kid as part of the theater techies crew, he bounces around various handyman, janitorial, repairman jobs, because to be quite honest - outside of every boy’s dream to be a footballer, tenoch didn’t have anything after that. but he makes his own fun - his mom’s optimism had always stayed in his psyche; it’d just been buried throughout his stay with his dad, and soon the old, friendly tenoch comes back !!

and then came ANTISOCIAL...

tenoch is on one of his regular cathartic drives when he stumbles upon a group of rapscallions on the side of the road with their thumbs out, and honestly ?? with a big van like his, he absolutely had to stop 

he drives them back to the city, and through a lot of explanation, he learns that they’re musicians in a band and they’re playing a proper concert where he lived !!

tenoch didn’t know muchabout music ( re: absolutely anything ) , but he went to the show anyway to make the guys feel welcome, standing at the back of the crowd with a beer in his hand, nodding his head to the music, clapping them on the back afterwards, buying them drinks - just being a big ol’ cheese ball

they end up staying at his apartment, and as he runs to buy extra pillows and blankets, he comes back to find that they want him to tour with them ?? 

and he, for once in his life, says fuck it !! it’s a paying job, he gets to travel, feel young, and maybe find a reason to embrace america, why the fuck not !?

his job jumps around from place to place - he starts off as a driver, until the band got big enough to have an actual tour bus that tenoch had absolutely no idea how to drive, but to keep him on tour river started insisting he was a bodyguard ?? has river seen his scrawny ass body ??

tenoch being stubborn as hell wasn’t going to get paid for a fake job, so he started helping with stage setup and putting those rusty high school theater crew skills to use and started training as a lighting technician, so take that, river

and thus dubbed him the proud mom and ‘ adult ’ voice of reason in the band, watching them grow and helping them with ( or get out of, most of the time ) various unthinkable shenanigans, and it is then that he, for once since he ever crossed the border, felt at home.

back at ASTON...

whenever tour drops off and the band’s recording, tenoch becomes a hobo basically, and goes back to janitorial work just to keep his hands busy. it sounds shit, but he actually likes fixing things and meeting clueless elderly who don’t know how to work their television?? he’s that kinda dreamy maintenance guy. except for those racist grandmas - they can go fuck right off

so right now, he’s just kinda bouncing around and working as a door to door repairman whenever river doesn’t drag him out of his apartment to go accompany him to concerts or something  “ i’m not your fuckin’ bodyguard, river ! ”

he’s also absolutely ecstatic about being a beach town. he loves the beach guys.... he’d totally be a surfer dude if he could surf, so he’s got a permanent tan and burnt nose

so really he’s just chillin’ ! just being a mom to four lil rebels in a band and happily fixing your leaky faucet, so he’s on the up and up !

and that’s finally it !! in terms of potential connections i don’t have anything particular in mind apart from the occasional client ( sounds scandalous, in reality he’s just unclogging your toilet ) or drunken hookup, so if you want just like this post and i’ll message you to talk plots or any other ideas you may have, but that’s it !!

Genevieve is a straight up coffee addict and always has her planner on her. Honestly she can also be a little standoffish and snobby just because SHE IS ALWAYS RIGHT MISS KNOW IT ALL AND MISS DO-IT-ALL and because of this she also doesn’t have very many friends, just little acquaintances. [ A FEW INSIGHTS INTO DEREK’S PAST & PERSONALITY ]

derek came back to aston because his father was ill, and took a sabbatical from his job in NYC to spend more time with his family. the man had spent the last 10-12 years climbing the corporate solicitor ladder madly; leaving little time for personal affairs — so he decided to take a break and enjoy life a bit, and what better way to do it than back home in aston ??

the man is ambitious, definitely — and has the wits to match his addiction to winning. he left aston after high school, where he went to college in boston, ma (harvard undergrad) before pursuing law at stanford. after his education, he took a job at one of new york’s biggest law firms and never looked back. he is now senior partner at said firm. 

personality-wise, derek is often a smart-mouth and isn’t afraid to correct others — sometimes at the expense of their feelings. much to his chagrin, this trait, along with his extremely packed schedule, has left him without much of a personal/romantic life: his friends are mostly from work, and aside from the occasional one-night stand, derek is pretty lonely.

he’s laura’s older brother and is super protective of her. they’re pretty tight and he tells her almost everything there is to know !!

hi y’all!! i’m joi and this is my lil bub gabi :+) she’s an aston native but left for a bit to chill in seattle. under the cut i’ll throw a couple facts up about her so y’all can see what she’s like!

so like i said gabi was born and raised in aston

she was adopted before she was a year old and has never known her birth parents

her adoptive parents are both in the medical field so her fam has hella money

but that never really changed who gabi was she was still super humble and whatnot

all of her other siblings are involved in the medical field and gabi was like,,,well fUck because all she ever wanted to do was write

and even though her parents didn’t want her to become one she did it anyways lmao

she also reconnected with her long lost twin brother her junior year of college and found out he was also adopted!! so now they’re besties

they moved to seattle together for a bit for literally no reason other than to leave aston but came back when it started getting too expensive

she writes full time and has two best selling fiction novels out you go girl

i’ve got more about her on her blog as well as a connections page!! so hmu if you wanna plot i’m down for anything!

lowkey nervously sweating bc i haven’t done more than one char in a long ass time but!!! we gon try it today 

SO lemme tell u about hudson here ( drugs, death & war tw )

he is def the type of heroic idiot who would do just ab t anything for anyone

he was previously in the army for 6 years as a combat medic so he has seen some p awful things and now suffers from ptsd bc of his 2 deployments. no one knows this, he tries his best to keep it at bay and continue on as normal, but it’s easier said than done. he has had to tend to a ton of others in his unit in battle, saving some but also losing others, including one of his closest friends he had in the army. 

but now he still loves helping others so when he got out he decided to become a paramedic

hudson was lit his label, the boy next door in high school. good grades, on the football team, had been scouted for several schools and had been granted a full ride scholarship for football at a nearby university.

h had a p normal childhood, parents who loved each other, and two sisters, one older and one younger. the family was v v close knit, but when hudson was 20 his younger sister was killed in a car accident. this p much messed up his entire family’s lives and def put a strain on their relationship, knowing that a significant piece of them was gone. 

after his sister died, hudson kinda lost his focus an interest and started partying more in school and began dabbling in drugs, but once he lost his scholarship and basically couldnt afford school anymore, he p much pulled himself out of it and shaped up to join the army instead

hud is a new muse so i don’t have everything quite figured out yet but!!! if anyone wants to plot hmu pls while i throw together a plots page :-)
