MASON MCCARTHY AUDITION - Auditioning for Sonny or Doody.
William McKinley High School is known locally for putting on some spectacular shows, however, those spectacular shows usually run in the spring. To be able to afford the elaborate props and costumes, not to mention the rights to produce a production of that musical, McKinley hosts a fall musical as well, all funds going toward the spring musical.
This year, McKinley couldn’t afford to purchase its own fall show to put on, so Dalton Academy agreed to front them the cost of the show, provided the private school gets 50% of the profit and Dalton boys are allowed to audition.
The principal and dean of the respective schools have agreed on the musical, Grease for the fall production, and hope that if the profits are good and the students enjoy it, they can continue their working relationship and produce musicals together in years to come.
In the timeline, auditions will be held Wednesday and Thursday from 3 PM to 8 PM in McKinley’s auditorium. If your character wants to be in the musical, they will need to post their audition song and what roles they are auditioning for in the tag #as4musical before end of day Thursday, October 25th. Cast will be announced Friday, October 26th.
