I love how Hiyodori describes Wist's tower in the Clem and Wist series, so here's Wisteria Shien (tank top) and Asa Clematis (T-shirt) chilling in one of her rooftop gardens.

I need everyone to get into the lowest healer and the highest mage. it's a self published lesbian fantasy/romance series on Amazon by Hiyodori and I know it's not for everyone but if its your thing it's like yuri catnip. it's madoka and the locked tomb rolled into one butch4butch series.
asa clematis is the most arrogant little shit ever and a great protagonist. she's in prison for treason but her ex who is very clearly still in love with her is the most powerful being in the world. clematis literally invented a new branch of healing. the government hates her. she physically cannot stop making annoying remarks to others. she's butch. she does the wildest shit. it's great
it's on KU
I curled my fingers through the back of her hair to make her hold still. I kissed the corner of her mouth. Her lips parted with a noise like a tiny cry of surrender, guttural, lost swiftly in the back of her throat. It wasn’t the first time we’d kissed. Not even close.
But it was the first time in a very, very long time.

I was squeeing at this part, these two are so cute!
Asa Clematis and Wisteria Shien, from the Clem and Wist series by Hiyodori
Asa Clematis is a talented healer, but not the medical kind. She's a mage healer, and a damn talented one at that. But in a country where healers are commodified to serve mages, that's not necessarily a good thing.
Lucky for her she meets Wisteria Shien, a very special mage. She's the second incarnation of the Kraken, a legendary mage with unlimited power. But this also makes Wisteria's magic the most difficult to treat, a task Clematis takes willingly when they befriend each other and eventually grow to something more.
Alas, a forced betrayal sees Clematis imprisoned for treason, and when we meet her in the first book, The Lowest Healer and the Highest Mage, she's seven years into a life sentence.
Imagine her surprise then, when the Kraken- the woman who betrayed her- shows up one day, her legendary powers all gone. With the promise of parole dangled, Clematis takes the challenge to get her magic back, but can she forego the seven years of anger that have been building since the day the Kraken betrayed her...
I highly recommend this sapphic enemies to lovers urban fantasy, check it out on Amazon!
A second later, Wist released her world-stopping skill. The rain resumed falling. The seagull overhead let out an indignant squawk and wheeled away into darkness. The mages slowly and gently crumpled over on the ground.
“No memory of the past week,” Wist said. “No consciousness. They’ll wake up in a few days. Good enough for you?”
“Right,” I said weakly. “That’ll do.”
She still held me up. I wondered if she could feel my heart hammering sickly. Pressed this close together, even the body armor didn’t seem quite thick enough to fully block it.
-Wist rescues Clem from a dark alleyway, The Reverse Healer Case Files by Hiyodori
Love this scene, I mean I'm not usually a fan of the 'touch her and die' trope but making it sapphic is a 1000% improvement
"I never thought I'd be the one to hurt you like this."
-Wist wakes up to an injured Clem following her battle with Larkspur, from the Reverse Healer Case Files
The angst in this scene was sooo good (though we don't see this on screen), poor Wist Timelapse:
"So where's this one from?"
Wist and I were lying on a blanket in her planterium. She had her hands behind her head, watching the constellations above, whereas I was on my belly, my left arm pillowing my head. I'd gotten bored and unbuttoned her flannel shirt, and now I was tracing the numerous scars on her abdomen with my finger.
The one that held my current fascination was on her lower right, above the crest of her hip, shaped like a tiny cross. She didn't show any reaction, but I felt a slight ticklish sensation through our bond.
"I had an ovarian torsion while you were in prison," she said. "They had to remove it. But after..." She trailed off, referring to the night she'd gone berserk and turned half her organs into leeching tendrils. "...after that, they replaced it anyway."
"Lucky you." I moved onto the jagged white line just beneath her ribs. "And this?"
"Your gift from Bittercress, with that knife."
"Ah, memories." I planted a soft kiss there, and Wist couldn't hide her shiver. I traced my fingertips down again, this time coming across the blueish tinted mark above her naval. "This one's from Datura Gray, right?"
"Mmhmm."
Another mark crested the top of her right hip, just visible about the waistband of her jeans, and I prodded it.
"What about this?"
"Vorpal beast clawed me when I was in our old world," Wist explained. "It bit me, too."
She offered her right forearm, and though it was extremely faint, I could just about see a symmetrical crescent of teeth marks.
Having run out of scars to comment on, I flopped against her bare stomach, her hand coming to rest in my hair. We remained silent for a while, and I pouted.
"What, not going to ask me about mine?" I playfully whined.
Wist stilled. "I already know who made the worst one."
I rolled my eye. "Oh come on, you're not still beating yourself up over my eye? It wasn't you, it was Larkspur."
"It was my magic."
"And her tacky hairpins." I flicked her belly. "Besides, it's worked out well, hasn't it? I've got an eldrich abomination taken up residence, and you've given me a portable protection device with more complicated magic than anyone could dream of."
"When you don't decide to rip them out."
"I told you, that Chalice did something to my head. But you've fixed it all now." I snuggled into the space just below the centre of her ribs. "Let's hope we don't have more to add to the collection."
