Adesso e Fortuna ~ Lyrics Source [ https://t.ly/AGyZ ]
I missed drawing these threeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee😭✨💖
My OC Asami has long long hair bc this is actually 5+ years after NRC and she’s not with Leona anymore. She’s between Jack and Jade 😳
🫣
Something I drew for Valentine Day and now re-uploading here for White day (´꒳`)♡
Happy White Day 🍫
My oc and Leona ~ reuploaded bc I don't have any new art atm
My Asami and her King, in this case, Pirate King 👀🦁✨💖
- I had an AU when Leona’s Pirate Halloween Costume was revealed where Asami is an Omega daughter of a silk merchant. After a mutiny at sea, she ends up under Leona’s crew. And for her to earn her keep, she does appraisals of valuable wares and silk coming from the east. 😭💖💖💖💖 Lots of pain and angst and everything spicy, salty, sweet in-between. What’s your oc’s AU that you’ve been obsessing about? Have you drawn, written or commissioned for it to come to light? 👀 Do YOU like pirate AUs? Or AUs in general?👁👁👁👁✨
Jack x Asami Daydreams/Sketches

Eyes Nose Lips ~ Valentine’s day Special
Thaumarks didn’t come from trees and certainly not from Crowley, but Asami’s been working at the Mostro Lounge for months now. So, she is fairly confident she can do a little bit of splurging this coming Valentine’s day. She hasn’t really experienced it properly, having spent her middle school and high school proper in an all-girls school. She giggled at the thought that spending it in Night Raven might not be any different.
But this time, it can be. It certainly feels different.
She had an inkling that the Savanaclaw Housewarden might not be so fond of sweets, but she wanted to make something for him anyway. And, a little something for everyone too, while she’s at it. She asked a few more baking basics sessions with Trey, since baking isn’t really her specialty.
She never made a proper cake before, and since they were already in the same miniclub, Trey was happy to share some of his tricks. He was curious though, about this peculiar tradition she shared as they were mixing the ingredients for what seems like a crumble mixture.
“So in your world, you give chocolates to the person you like? Along with a confession?” He wanted to double check. It wasn’t what he was used to. It was normally the other way around in Twisted Wonderland. But something new, intriguing and certainly sweet excited Trey. He was curious however, since she mentioned confession.
“I thought you guys were already a thing,” he starts with a calm tone as he cracks several eggs to prepare the wet ingredients.
Asami’s hands stopped moving for a bit, and she shook her head to give him a shy smile. Her cheeks already tinted like the red roses that lined the courtyard of Heartslabyul.
“Not really,” she whispered with a worried tone. It was as if she herself wasn’t certain. Trey watched her as she tried to distract herself by going over the ingredients list once more. Muttering each line like a magic spell.
Maybe a prayer. He will never know.
But he always wanted to be someone she could talk to freely.
Asami appreciated his presence.
She even mentioned a few times or more how she didn’t really have any siblings, and how she always wondered what that situation would be like; and how Trey would have been a perfect older brother
“Just be careful,” Trey sighs with fondness in his heart. A light pat on her shoulders as her hands hold a jar filled with flour close to her. “Be careful, okay?” he says again, more like a kind warning than a friendly reminder. And Asami returns that fondness with her usual meek smile.
They make the biscuits first, and though they were pretty basic — white chocolate with fresh raspberries — Asami was quite disappointed with her first attempt.
Trey didn’t want to give up though, and he made sure that the next few batches should be alright. And so, they try again.
She asks grim if he’d be able to cover for her, and finish some of the tasks they need to do together, alone. Grim was reluctant at first, but once he heard about biscuits, he was a merry monster eager to help.
She spends days trying to perfect the little baked things, and even more time learning about the science behind baking. Hanging out by the Heartslabyul lounge just talking to Trey about cakes. And Leona. And her plan. And how nervous she was.
And about how it’s not going to happen and she might just as well forget about it.
And all that time spent with Trey, was time not spent with the Savanaclaw Housewarden. And Leona is angry.
He wasn’t sure why, and he didn’t really know what happened but it seemed like the prefect was trying her bestest, doing everything it takes to avoid him.
And he had no idea what she was doing, maybe there was a lot more cleaning to be done because it’s winter and spring is slowly dawning on the frozen land that is Night Raven College. The place is cursed during the winter, he scoffs.
But one fine morning, when his mood was not the best but still manageable, he caught a glimpse of her scent clung tightly around Heartslabyul’s Vice Housewarden, just as he was passing by with Riddle and Cater— and so early in the morning.
Leona steps before Trey, and everybody halts. Leona’s movements were slow but with weighted intention, and a glare that clarified his anger. His head very languidly leans towards Trey’s direction. No words come after this strange gesture that is clearly not a friendly greeting. But Trey had a quick-witted inkling as to what was happening. Still, he couldn’t help the cold sweat dripping down his neck.
Trey clears his throat, “Good Morning, Housewarden Kingscholar,” he tries not to stutter under those summer green eyes that now are seemingly shining with neon malice rather than bright meadows bathing in sunshine.
Her shampoo; traces of it were all around Trey’s collar and shoulder area. And heat, since he was sweating, and she was clearly sweating too. Riddle initiates to interject between this strange and menacing scene but Cater instinctively stops him and pulls him to the side.
Trey can’t tell him, but he can’t make up bullshit excuses either. Leona Kingscholar is too good for that. So, he bites the bullet. “Is there something you would like to say?”
Trey tries to calm himself, straightening his blazer just as Leona slowly backs away. His long and messy hair was just the same as usual, slouched shoulders, and his hands in his pockets, eyes of emerald sharp and never leaving Trey. Leona snorts after a few seconds of chilling silence. The air around them is cold and heavy but Trey tries his best.
He tilts his glasses into place and clears his throat. This attempt at baiting the king of beasts was a risk, a longshot.
But he wanted to try.
“Didn’t think you two were an item, Housewarden,” Trey might have improvised but he never expected these words to come out of his mouth, and certainly not directed to Leona Kingscholar. Riddle and Cater stand semi frozen behind them.
“None o’yer business,” Leona spats as he finally starts to walk away from the scene. His heavy footsteps gave Cater permission to sigh and push Riddle by the shoulder away from the carnage. Well, almost carnage.
Leona Kingscholar was surprisingly civil about it.
But Trey didn’t want to back down just yet.
He wanted to try again, for her sake.
“Seems like she’s,” Trey starts, tilting his glasses in place once more, feeling the cold sweat finally falling down and hitting his shirt collar. Making sure his breath doesn't fog his vision. Giving temporary relief and confidence to keep this conversation going.
But Leona scoffs, and turns over his shoulder. Dangerous green eyes now sharply impaling Trey’s attempt at a frayed trap.
“Just someone to kill time with,” Leona interrupts and he turns to his heel and walks away, marking the end of the conversation with a hostile comment.
Trey felt terrible. He wanted to protest, he wanted to retort. He wanted to run up to Leona, lift him by the collar and just punch him. Trey is offended, he is offended for Asami. Even more offended by the fact that he was interrupted.
But he stops himself, Trey loses his patience, but never loses his cool. And he starts again. This time, promising to himself that this would be the last bit, and he’d walk away from this with a half triumph. He tries to convince himself.
“Then,” he chuckles— in the small window of confidence he found in himself where he was able to chuckle — and starts again. “If she is just someone to kill time with,” he gulps but he regains his composure before finishing his sentence.
“I mean, I can’t help the fact that she already spends more time with us than in Savanaclaw, anyway,” Trey chuckled, and that slight cockiness Leona didn’t expect right there ran a chill down his spin. There is a smirk in Trey’s face, and he was thankful the dark-haired prince was turned the other way, otherwise he would have been freshly killed three minutes ago. So he banks on this slight advantage. Once again, he tries. For her.
“Then surely, you don’t have a problem if she spends her time with the people who value her the most.”
There was no response but Leona stopped walking.
The chill and heaviness in the air seemed to ward everyone else from that particular part of the hallways. And Trey walks away, leaving Leona standing still. Feet planted heavy on the blasted stone floors of Night Raven with his hackles standing on their end.

Asami felt happy she was able to finally make a beautiful big batch of white chocolate and raspberry biscuits. Everyone gets a good handful, and it was perfect since they made trays and trays of the stuff.
Trey even helped her wrap everything and was surprised that he even gets his own bag of biscuits. They were delicious, just the right texture and crumble.
Not as sweet as how Riddle would prefer them but they were still very good.
Leona notices the intricately-wrapped yellow pouches being lugged by several students that day. It was a normal day, nothing new for him save for the lack of what his lion brain calls “Asami time”. The first years were carrying the same yellow pouch.
Jack and Epel, too.
Even Vil had one atop his desk.
Leona’s eyebrow raises with irritation.
He continues to roam around looking for a new spot to nap in, and he even sees some of the second years carrying those stupid yellow pouches.
“What the hell is that?” Leona snarls at Rook who was prancing around with the same yellow pouch in his hand.
“Vil & I received them from Kantokusei,” Rook twirled around in delight.
“Isn’t she wonderful, Leona-kun.” Rook added as he slightly leaned against Leona’s side whilst showing him the pouch up close.
“She says she isn’t much of a baker, but these are exquisite, light and not too sweet.” Rook added once more.
He sounded as if he already had too much sugar and this was a little too much for Leona to handle.
Everyone gets one, except for me, Leona thinks. And the image of Trey Clover leaning close to Asami really sent Leona’s imagination into overdrive. He sees Trey with his stupid glasses glimmering against her ear, and she, Asami Oda— the magicless first year he considered someone to just kill time with, looking straight at him with a frown on her face.
The image of her that’s always cheerful around him, always smiling, always blushing— the Asami that was always seeking him out, slowly walking away.
And so he does what he thinks is best. And he tucks his hands in his pockets and walks away. Towards the mirror chamber, and towards Savanaclaw.
Why is he so pissed? He doesn't care about sweets or biscuits anyway.
How exactly does he know those pouches are from her? The list of questions just goes on and on. Until his thoughts were interrupted by a soft chime. He snarls at the sound, but checks. He sees a notification on his phone and opens her message.
Asami: Leona-san, where are you? Can we please talk?
He does nothing.
══════ ∘◦❁◦∘ ══════
Asami is having trouble locating Leona as he isn’t in his usual spot by the botanical garden, nor was he by the big tree behind campus. She sent him a message asking him where she could meet him but there was no reply.
It’s been a long week and she was sure Leona’s been upset with her since she turned him down twice when he sent her a text to “Come over”. The amount of homework didn’t help either. She was able to barter with Jade with shorter shifts thanks to Trey’s convincing, too.
But this whole week, she was only able to see Leona once. She misses him. She wants to see him.
She wanted Trey to come along to accompany her, but he insisted that she already did him proud and was able to bake an amazing cake. And that Leona Kingscholar might not be too pleased to see him with her any time soon.
Asami tilts her head in confusion, but she puts that thought aside, and now she is focusing on finding Leona. Gathering courage from her days of trial and error, gathering courage from the afternoon light that’s now wrapping the mighty halls of Night Raven in preparations for lady night’s arrival.
She carefully places the cake on top of an open box and then puts a tin red paper over it. She didn’t want to fiddle with opening the box and risk ruining the ganache she worked so hard to perfect.
Asami nervously holds the box supported by her forearms hoping she won’t trip as she walks around campus with her cake in hand. She finally did it. After eight trials, eight failures, four stodgy cakes, two overdone cakes, and two cakes that leaked, she was able to make a decent chocolate cake with chocolate ganache to cover the whole diameter.
Chocolate cake with raspberries, and the whole thing covered in dark chocolate ganache. From the finest chocolates Twisted wonderland could offer … that the bit of her savings can afford and she deemed appropriate to offer to a prince.
She knew he might not like the idea of chocolate, maybe if there was meat in it, maybe it would be acceptable. So many questions ran through her head as she power-walked across the almost empty hallways of Night Raven.
Everyone was headed towards their respective clubs, the classrooms were almost empty. The afternoon light slightly accentuating the dark halls almost gave her comfort. The contrast reminded her of Leona. The contrast reminded her of Leona. How, in every bit of dark he showed her, was coupled with the same amount of light that seemed only visible to her. Does he purposely show her this soft side of him? Or was she just imagining it? Projecting onto him the person she wants him to be. Maybe.
She needed to get her act together, focus, and tell him exactly how she felt.
But, the idea of Leona rejecting her homemade cake made her insides quiver.
What was she hoping for? Why did she make the cake?
Asami wants to tell him, “Leona-san I really like you.”
She wants to tell him how she wants to spend all her free time with him, if she could. If he allowed her to. She would.
She wanted to tell him, whenever she sees him, she just wants to be near.
She wants him to know, she just wants to hold his hand.
And that she wants to hold him all the time.
She wants to tell him how she loves it when they kiss, and when they do, she can find a sliver of hope that maybe, just maybe, he likes her back, too.
Or that he— at the very least— likes her enough to keep her around.
That would be enough for her.
But she wants to be honest with him, and sometimes she wants more.
She wants him to know, she might want more.
Sometimes she wants to kiss him a little bit more, a little longer.
When he pulls her closer, she just wants to surrender.
She wanted to tell him how she felt like he was her everything.
Even if she was just someone, maybe even no one. Asami would frown and she would sigh, and she really hoped someone was around so she could ask them if they’ve seen the Savanaclaw Housewarden around. And so she starts walking faster, looking around if he might be napping somewhere obscure this time.
And then, there was a thud.
“Oh crap, this is bad,” one guy spoke nervously after checking if she was okay. The other student suggested it might be a bad idea to deal with this now. And so they both bowed in apology and ran away.
Asami’s arms and hands were still secure around the cake box. But the box was squashed against her chest and she is now on the floor. The impact didn’t hurt, she hit her nose, yes. But it didn’t hurt.
But when she opened her eyes to find herself covered in cake and ganache, that’s when shock coursed through her system. Her arms unceremoniously fell onto the floor. Dropping the remaining cake that was intact. She pushed herself up so she was now sitting in front of her massacred cake. Massacred by her chest. Asami removed her apron before leaving the Home Economics room because she wanted to look nice for Leona. She even got a small canister of rouge to put on her cheek and lips, and parted her hair slightly differently.
She tried to make herself look presentable along with her cake.
And in a blink of an eye she is there, covered in chocolate without any strength. Her eyes fixated on the mess in front of her. And the cake starts to look blurry.
Blurry and sparkly as tears welled from her eyes. She sniffles and finally, she lets all the stress and all the nerves of the past week all out with a bawl.
The halls were empty, so she didn’t even worry about keeping her voice down.
Asami wipes her eyes with her sleeves and even they’re covered in cake. It’s all ruined. It was a hot ball of anger and frustration spiraling from the bottom of her stomach, up her throat, knotted in the back of her head, slowly streaming down her face. There was so much time and resources put into this plan, she just wanted to make something beautiful and delicious. She tried so very hard. She only wanted to show him what and how she felt about him. She just wanted to do something for him. Through this, through something she knew she could do well.
And it circles back. Back to her.
Maybe she was doing this for her. All along. All this time. She felt like a fraud. And this was the universe’s way of punishing her. Nothing ever went right. She was always in trouble, even though she did nothing but work hard, scrub floors, help everyone with homework, do all she could to not be considered dead weight.
She just wanted him to notice her.
She just.
Leona felt a strange feeling tickle his senses when he heard two Savanaclaw students whispering to each other. Somehow, he fell asleep in a back corridor somewhere, and wasn’t even aware that school’s over and it was time to go back to the dorms. Luckily, there was no scheduled Spelldrive practice that day.
But the students’ murmuring really made him wonder.
“Are you sure? We should’ve helped her!” one student cowered whilst looking over the end of the hall.
“It was a mess, we’ll help her uh,” the other student stuttered but pulled his companion towards the other end of the hall. “To-to-tomorrow, we will apologise again.” and they were gone.
Leona yawns and sighs. No sign of her today save for that text message. That same strange feeling inside him pulled him up and dragged his heavy feet towards the hall.
Something fishy about the way those two nervously talking like that. What the hell did they do? Curiosity tingled Leona’s feline senses, and sure enough he found something interesting.
A ghost lady, back hunched forward with blood all over her legs and arms. The kill— he wasn’t sure what creature it was yet— was before her. A big messy lump of black with bits of red.
Smelled like red fruits, and chocolate. The heavy and rich scent of chocolate filled the air making Leona wince. But he soon realises that it’s her.
He slowly walks toward her, watching her for a good few minutes before saying anything. Asami wasn’t moving, and Leona felt a weird instinct to back away a bit. This is the first time he’s ever felt this aura around her. Asami is angry, crying.
“What the hell are you doing?” he snorts. He is clearly annoyed. He very much wanted to know what she’s been doing all this time and with whom. She felt like a stranger. A stranger he hasn’t seen for days. And it irked him to see her in such a weird situation. Is this cake? He thought to himself.
When she finally looked up to him, there was a tight twist from the back of Leona’s throat down to his chest. Her eyes, that were always bright and curious — always shining and eager to please — now look defeated and shattered. Leona reflexively crouches down to see if she’s alright. His gloved hand gently rests on her cheek, now all red along with her eyelids and nose.
“What the heck are you doing?” Leona asks her again, waiting for her glazed eyes to finally focus on him.
What’s wrong? I’m here. His thumb soothingly rubs the side of her chin as he waits for her to respond.
Asami grabs his arm, she looks into his eyes and for a moment, it was as if she was going to say something very important. But her lips started to quiver, catching the prince off guard. And Asami felt like the strength she's been running on for months in this strange world, is slowly dissipating. Until there is no more. Leona waits for her response with a raised eyebrow, trying his best to be patient, trying his best not to just grab her and take her back to his room, clean her up—
She starts crying, sniffling. She is bawling her eyes and heart out.
And then, she starts to speak, at least, to the best that Leona could comprehend.
“Le-Leona-san,” she cries out. Sharp inhales here and there. There is snot dripping down her nose. But weirdly enough, he didn't mind it. Not at all.
“I tried to m-make,” she tries. But her tears just kept coming. Her eyes and her nose were so red he actually felt worried she would end up wounding her own face. Asami's hands were holding onto him like she was about to fall off a cliff.
If desperation had an image and a voice, it would be her, right there and then.
“I just w-wanted to make you,” the young prince of the savanna wasn’t exactly a patient person. And yet, for all his ennui and almost-coldheartedness, Leona found the patience to wait for her to finish what she wanted to say. Wait for her words after every sharp breath. Wait for her to calm down. Slowly piece her muffled phrases together.
And when she finally stopped hiccuping, when she finally stopped mumbling and sniffling. When she softly utters the words I’m so sorry, Leona scratches the back of his head and sighs. “Is this it?” He tries his best not to be so crude, not to be so brusque.
That’s right. He thought to himself. He knew he was good in many things and more but certainly not being someone who is comforting.
He was looking into himself, and trying his best to find a part that could be comforting.
But Leona Kingscholar, even though he won’t admit it openly— even though he didn’t think he would feel this way about anyone, ever — he wanted to find something in himself, maybe, someone. To be someone of comfort to her.
The sky grew richer and darker in colour and the halls seemed longer and darker. The soiled carpet will definitely be put in the list of things she will need to save for, but Leona still felt himself smirk. His hand rested placidly on her cheek, while his other hand supported his weight beside her thigh as he leaned closer.
Asami suddenly feels something warm and mildly rough scraping against her neck and she feels herself gasp.
She gulps, eyes wide in shock not because her cake is smashed all over her and the floor, but because Leona Kingscholar, Housewarden of Savanclaw and the person she so lovingly admires just licked the piece of cake that was covering her chin and neck.
Leona’s eyes now focused on her. He smirks as he wipes his lips with the back of his gloves.
“Who says I can’t still eat it?”
══════ ∘◦❁◦∘ ══════
It was a quiet walk towards Savanaclaw. And with the prefect covered in goo and smelling like a bakery, most of the students stopped and stared as the couple walked across the lounge and up to the Housewarden’s quarters.
Leona didn’t growl at them for being so nosy. He actually felt gratified.
The Ramshackle prefect did all of this for me, he thought to himself as he led her by the hand up to his room. She was quiet with her head down, but at least she stopped crying and stopped making that awful sharp sound whenever she tried to breathe.
They arrive in his room and he closes the door behind her. The lights were off but the veranda offered a dim glow and fresh breeze that further soothed the waning tension from the incident.
Leona’s hands rested on her waist as he waited for her to sober up from her meltdown. Her scent was heavily tainted with sugar and butter and chocolate. Her hair was messy but it was parted differently. And even though she already stopped crying, her cheeks were still as red, and so were her lips.
“Let’s get you cleaned up,” he gauges the situation and waits for her response. But Asami is still quiet. Her eyes almost droopy but Leona knew they were present and they were focused on him. She doesn’t say anything, so Leona takes this queue to do as he felt was necessary. He removes his gloves and tosses them to the side. Removes her blazer with such care. She doesn’t resist, almost as if she was letting him lead her to whatever’s going to happen next.
He removes his yellow vest and white shirt, and she hears a button fall and roll away onto the floor. That sound woke her up, but her senses were dulled and heightened by the fact that Leona was shirtless in front of her. As if she wasn’t already hit by an emotional overload from the events of the afternoon, she has to brace herself for what’s to come.
Leona is beautiful, he’s always been beautiful to her. And now she can definitely see that his chest is well-defined, his hair falling down his shoulders framed his build faultlessly. His arms were strong and athletic- but not too bulky, and she could see his tattoo wrapping around his muscles clearly. She wonders when he got it but she didn’t have the strength to do so.
This is the first time she is face-to-face with his figure like this. And she isn’t quite sure what to do with herself. Carnelian eyes wide with curiosity and her lips slightly parted as she watched him undress. It was almost as if she was able to taste him already, he is so close. His chest, Asami, his chest, she thought to herself.
Maybe this is a dream. She thought to herself.
Leona doesn’t say anything but his face watches her reactions as he moves around the room. He then kneels down in front of her and she gulps as his hands reach for the hems of her skirt.
“You need to remove these, too,” his sharp emerald eyes looked up to her as his finger tapped gently on her thigh, and Asami almost forgot how to breathe. Her chest is increasingly tighter and tighter with his every movement around her.
What is happening? Why is it so dark? What am I doing? What is he doing?
There was a squeak and then the sound of water running.
And Leona takes her by the hand and leads her into the shower.
He helped her remove her blouse but he was mindful to be behind her. It was cute, Asami thought. She didn’t think Leona could be this considerate. She quite frankly didn’t expect to witness this side of him.
She knew there was more to him than what meets the eye. So much more to him than his sardonic growl. So much more to him than what he lets others now. There was a kind of faith there, and she wasn’t entirely sure what it is she sees in him for her to stick around.
He wasn’t the nicest person, and sometimes he can be a little rough. Nipping at her ear, tugging at her collar, pulling her wrist - And yet whenever they reach a tipping point, she would always find the smallest tiniest bit of kindness that would make her want to come back and restart the whole process once more.
The steam from the shower was soothing to Asami. As one who’s been insecure about her body, as a girl who hasn’t found the time and chance to be intimate with anyone, like this, it was comforting to have that warm veil to hold her as Leona’s fingers gently rubs shampoo all over her hair. Leona Kingscholar wasn’t synonymous to ‘gentle’ or ‘caring’, Asami thought. But right now, he is gentle, and she feels cared for. Something she hasn’t felt in a long long time.
After a few minutes, he stops. And as Asami looks over her shoulder, she sees him turn around to face the other way and shampoo his own hair.
There were no words, only the sound of running water, the thick cloud of steam around them and the warmth that clung around Asami’s skin. And somehow, that was enough for her. Maybe, it was enough for Leona too.
He hands her some shower gel and she takes in a few pumps to lather and cleans herself off. Clearing away the sweat, tears, butter and chocolate. There was something strange about being there. And yet for all her nervousness, Asami did not feel any licentiousness with them sharing the shower.
Asami stays under the running hot water, her hands hugging herself the entire time. And finally as she is able to relax, Leona walks out of the shower and dunks himself onto the fresh hot bath. As the sound of water spilling to the edge filled the bathroom, Asami was left wondering and waiting.
Leona’s voice breaks the silence. “Are you coming or what?”
He sighs and it echoes through the whole space. And somehow Asami feels her throat tied in a knot. She gulps, her heart is racing. Maybe it’s from the heat of the shower, or the smooth baritone of his voice. She was reluctant to face him, as she was completely naked. But once she saw that he was leaning back with a cool towel covering his face, she felt something tug at her heartstrings, drawing a soft smile to her lips. He’s never been this caring, and she is finding more and more reasons to fall for him.
Asami dips her toes as her hand finds support by holding onto his knee. She was surprised she did, but Leona didn’t comment on it. He was also thankful that she barely notices how his ears twitched at the soft squeak she made. But he is trying his best. And she is being so good. She settles in front of him.
The hot water slowly takes her in and calms her tense body.
She doesn’t move for a while, and Leona takes the cool towel and puts it on top of her head. Hoping it would help her relax. Her shoulders cave in for a bit once he did, and then she relaxes again. No words, and the silence is just as thick as the steam around them. The hot water relaxed the nerves that were halting their slow and shaky progress. The soft yellow light of the bathroom, too, helped soothe the tension.
Asami looked over her shoulder again, hands hugging herself tight as she looked into Leona’s eyes. They were evergreen and calm.
Focused on her just as much.
His wet hair somehow made him look more vulnerable. And Asami felt privileged to be witness to this side of him. How beautiful he looked, the slight flush of his cheeks made her heart beat faster. His shoulders, his collarbone, the dip down where his chest starts. She was crazy about him.
“I think,” Asami tries to break the silence. Words spilled from her lips normally after what felt like forever. Leona shifts, slightly straightening himself up though unconsciously. It’s true they never crossed the line like this before. They’ve kissed, many times but nothing more. He’s aware she isn’t quite ready for what he’s looking for. Making him reevaluate time and time again what exactly it is that he wanted from her. He was curious, above all else.
But if he was going to get an explanation, or anything, he wanted it to be at a time when she is ready.
“I didn’t know how,” she shifts, and Leona had to remind himself to look away when she did. He was trying his bestest to be considerate. But he can only look away for so long, and his self control can only hold him down so much. Especially when she is here, wading softly in his tub. She is naked, just as naked as he is. His exhales are now heavier and fuller than a minute ago. He is trying. This girl is always making him try.
“My feelings for you, Leona-san,” her hands prop her up a bit and she settles down the water again. And his hands instinctively watch out, making sure she doesn’t slip and fall down. The top part of her breasts were visible, and they were right in front of him. Full and flushed. The lower half looked like they were underwater. She looked like she was gleaming, glowing. Her small shoulders, he missed them. It’s been a while, he thought. He missed her neck, her chin.
He didn’t think the small details of her face mattered at all but it did.
Leona had to blink a few times to focus the haze that’s now slowly glazing his vision. Focus, Leona.
He gulps but he tries his best to listen. His elbows rest on either side of the tub letting his hands hang freely, strategically away from her body. Leona is able to relax simply because of the hot water, and the fact that she’s stopped crying.
Asami looked unsure; looked scared, she looked like she wanted something. Something from him, perhaps. Eyes of liquid sun regaining their usual glimmer darted here and there; her shoulders pulled in together and then relaxed, and again tense up. Her hair seemed darker as it fell flat around her face.
Cheeks and lips as red as they always have been, how badly he wanted to kiss her right there, she will never know. But he didn’t want to interrupt her.
“I'm not sure why and how but—” there was a pause, and Asami looks straight into his eyes once more. She takes in a deep shaky breath. Leona takes in a deep breath, bracing himself as he devoted all his attention to her next words. Asami scooches closer to him, so she was now just between his legs.
“I think I am falling for you. More and more,
I want to know more about you
I want to understand you
I want to be closer to you
Even if it’s just a little bit each time.”
Maybe each time we kiss, we close in a mile
Every time our hands touch, we close the distance between us
Distance slowly shattered by the heat shared by our skin, but we’re still anchored by the dim light of our hearts.
A growing light
To feel you
Really see you
And really hear you
I’d love to
“Leona-san, would you let me?” she asks, her hand warm against his chest.
He takes her hand, lifts it to his lips and he nips at her fingertips. Faint scent of chocolate, rich butter and sugar still seeped into her skin. She is sweet, and Leona— though he didn’t care for sweet things— loved the flavour that is her.
