the north and south nodes are two opposing points on the moon that are indicative of karma and life lessons in astrology. our north node (also known as ascending node) reveals the areas we need to work on and gives us direction, while our south node (also known as descending node) indicates what comes naturally to us, where we feel comfortable - over the course of our lifetime, we grow and adopt the traits of our north node.
