“--------ARE WE STILL TALKING ABOUT the BB-8 thing?” Shutting the lid of a cargo box, Rey draws out a low sigh and spins on a heel to stalk towards the pilot. “Because that happened ages ago. He’s fine. Finn declared me as the winner of that argument, so I should hope we’d respect his RULING.”

A WICKED GRIN stretches clear and wide on her face as she sits down beside him in the cockpit, brows sliding high as she checks on how long they have until they reach Naboo. “Is that right?” If they’re going to be this insufferable towards each other, then Rey has no qualms with ruining his ‘alone time’ as a pilot of the Falcon. Her fingers fold softly over one another with unspoken pettiness, thumbs twiddling as she watches between the stars and him. “Thought you might enjoy company a bit more seeing as I’m a hot commodity these days.”

“I’VE HAD WORSE.” It’s about as much of the truth as she’s willing to convey, though the scrunch of her nose is a dead giveaway that this? This is on par with whatever grueling injuries she’s had alone in the abyss of the desert. Poe sitting by her side isn’t making it much better. “What’s happened has happened. I didn’t die, it’ll heal —– Poe, truly, I’ll be OKAY.”

SQUINTING AS THE CASE PRESENTS itself, Rey takes those precious three beats to think about the truth he’s laying down. Somehow they’ve reached this point of delirium in the night by a campfire, lost in the haze of sleep deprivation and the night watch for a squadron to come home. She offers her services because truthfully? Being the hope of the resistance isn’t enough. Poe, Snap, Larma —- they give their all. It’s only fair she does the same. Yet patrolling with Poe always proves interesting (a word she uses liberally) as he brings up bizarre conversation starters at the drop of a pin. Most leave Rey speechless. Today is no different.

he’s worse than han. at least luke could always keep up with han but he can’t say the same thing in his old age. a strained sigh comes out as the once-jedi speeds after dameron. “ earn it. yeah right. “ he scoffs ( noting how much he sounds like uncle owen these days ). “ that’s a real funny way of saying that you don’t have a plan. “
x-wing catches up to x-wing as luke shoots a rather stern look at poe. “ we have to take out the rest of the ties before we do anything else. maybe by then you’ll have a real plan. “ he breaks, letting poe speed ahead of him as he curves the x-wing in the air to start shooting at the tie fighters chasing after them.
