9 months on T vs 2 months
comparing my experience now on 9 months of T to the experience i documented 2 months on T! (here) used direct quotes for each topic:
bottom growth was obvious within the first few days, ""morning wood"" is a real thing.
this phased out around the 3rd or 4th month, i dont really get morning wood or erections randomly anymore unless something happens or im actively thinking about something thatd cause it. (bf moment)
for the first week bottom growth was moreso obvious in sensitivity rather than growth...
bottom growth sensitivity is so annoying. something i wasnt aware of at the time is that when you get bottom growth, not only does it act like a penis, but you also need to treat it like one. ie, smegma builds up as it would in a cis penis, and needs to be cleaned. very hard process early T (pun not intended)
sensitivity-wise it's definitely improved, for a while it was so intense i couldnt even touch it without like, flinching. its more manageable now though, but not gone. (this sensitivity tends to get better/easier to deal with the more its interacted with)
the appetite increase is insane!!!
this calmed down around the 6th month i think?? overall my appetite is larger than what it was pre-T but i dont constantly feel hungry like i did early on. i think also the feeling of being hungry has become more natural, and its like im usually hungry to an extent, but its not enough to be annoying, moreso just that i have additional space.
mood swings and irritability became obvious pretty early,
thank god this really did chill out a lot. i think mainly around the 4th or 5th month? the way i experience emotions as a whole has definitely changed (for the better), but the level of irritability i had has definitely diminished. like, it used to be, snap at others and get overtly annoyed irritable, whereas now its less intense and a lot more manageable.
i find i dont get sad as often anymore? like i definitely still do and definitely still feel emotions strongly, but sadness used to be one of the main things i felt pre-T, like a primary emotion, and now its definitely moved back to a secondary sort of thing. i feel very regulated.
i also just feel way more chilled out overall and very calm, im a lot more loose with handling situations; as in, i find it easier to calm down and not stress heavily about them as i used to. its really refreshing honestly.
...ive also found my skin tone/complexion has evened out if that makes sense?
for reference i attached this image:
i do think part of it was internal but i am more tan overall so it still kinda applies? definitely do feel like my face has evened out tone-wise.
libido is real. (in reference to IDing as asexual/graysexual -> graysexual/allosexual)
yup! this has stayed pretty strong. i definitely still ID as some form of graysexual, just leaning towards allosexual a lot as well. my libido exists now which is pretty insane after being asexual for what seemed to have been my whole life! i actually enjoy and partake in that sort of stuff???? wut???? hello???? unheard of????
okay on a serious note, this is a part of T that prior to it i was very unsure and scared of, but the actual experience has been very relaxed. its just been a matter of figuring out what i do and dont like, and communicating with my partner about it (who is, luckily, very gracious and understanding of my 100s of boundaries. love that man.)
also T definitely made me gayer like many joke about LOL.
yes.
within the second week i had my first voice crack, ...your vocal range moves, meaning that while you gain a deeper pitch you also lose the higher pitch... ...having my throat feel sore after squeezing out a high pitched "yippee" was a new thing to get used to.
my voice mainly deepened around the 2nd and 3rd month, then again at the 6th month or so.
i cannot do the high pitched yippee properly anymore for the record. it has not been uttered in months until now when i tried and it was more of a whisper with a whistle note attached.
about the voice cracks, they mainly stopped around the 3rd or 4th month i think? i used to be able to intentionally do them but have recently lost that ability. im very upset about it actually, im a drama kid and cant use those voice cracks for dramatic effect anymore. im so fucked
in order to not have a voice crack each sentence/talk comfortably i had to use some of the voice training techniques i had lightly heard of
yup! always. you get used to it over time honestly.
i already had somewhat impressive "facial fuzz" prior to going on T, it wasnt really noticeable unless you were looking for it. but after going on T the fuzz on my top lip has darkened, its not super noticeable, it looks a shadow.
OH YES. the facial fuzz mainly darkened i think around the 5th-7th months??? maybe the 8th??? my memory is foggy ok. eventually it did get to a point where you could visibly see it and i very much had sideburns.
i also found that the hair on my chin started growing and darkening, and i find its usually the fastest growing and therefore most annoying considering i like to keep my chin clean shaven. if i dont shave for a while its obvious and i end up looking pretty scraggly.
i ended up shaving my sideburns and i regularly shave my chin/neck too, since its still pretty early on in my timeline i dont have thick enough hair to get a proper beard growing/to make it look good, so my stache is the best ive got and the only bit i dont shave. but yes facial hair is now noticeable. yay!
on the topic of hair darkening, the hair on my arms has darkened pretty noticeably, ...i dont think ive really noticed an insane amount of hair growth, moreso just the darkening of hair. but we'll see! pray for me.
all my hair is darker! yay! ive definitely gotten hair growth, although its just been a bit slow. as of my 8th/9th month i started getting thicker hair on the backs of my thighs and noticed shoulder hair for the first time. the hair on my legs and arms has definitely been growing though and is longer than it was early on.
i've also just generally chilled out a lot more, i feel more calm and relaxed overall.
as said before, yes!
i also feel more confident overall.
absolutely, still carries on! like the irritability it does seem to slightly calm down but its never gone away and seems to have become more of a passive feeling. its really nice.
as for things ive noticed recently (7th-9th months)
this is very recent, but i feel like my face structure has changed! i cant put my finger on where, but i feel like i just look different and overall more masculinized. ive really enjoyed it.
metabolism/body shaping: i burn body fat faster than before which has been pretty cool as that was an effect i was personally looking forward to. i dont think my fat distribution has notably changed much, but in areas like the thighs where i had a lot of body fat, a fair bit of it has been replaced by muscle. the decrease in body fat also means a lot of the muscle ive gained has become more visible.
im way more comfortable with some things i wasnt pre-T, things like growing my hair out and wearing accessories feels way more relaxed and less like choosing between passing and my enjoyment. growing my hair out/my hair getting overgrown is no longer stressful! hooray! (cut to my current overgrown haircut)
yay! thats all i can think of at the moment. happy 9 months of T/boyth guys.
