Does anyone have any tips on how to do well in AS chemistry?
BIOMOLECULES: Water -The structure
Water is made out of an oxygen atom and two hydrogen atoms.
The oxygen atom attracts bonding electrons torwards itself and away from the hydrogen atoms. This makes the oxygen atom slightly negative (delta -ve) and the hydrogen atoms are slightly positive (delta +ve)
There is a weak attraction between delta -ve atoms on one molecule and delta +ve atoms on another water molecule. This attraction is a HYDROGEN BOND.
(In ice water is in a rigid ice formation)
