02. Dana

At first glance this was my favourite picture of the bunch, but looking at it closer it felt back to the second spot. Dana’s eyes feels far less sleepy than usual, in fact her face in general has photographed wonderfully here, she looks radiant. The pose is super modelesque, this is probably the best she has looked in the entire competition (minus the subaru fashion film), and all the pieces she’s wearing are popping out. Though, I’m now realizing that she could have pushed the pose further, and for example exagerate the serpentine shape of her whole body. Also, she doesn’t feel connected at all with the background and the other people, so her whole shot feels too posed and slightly off concept.

01. Mia

And my final first call out of this cycle goes to Mia. This shot may feels less modelesque than Dana’s, but it feels a lot more real and genuine. She had a difficult dress to work with, and she made it look good by posing simply but still bringing motion to it. The way she’s holding her aunt’s hand connect her to the scene and makes her look caught in the moment. Her face is serving genuine happiness, her smile is beaming and her eyes are glimmering, she really looks happy to be there. I agree with Yu Tsai when he said that she brought authenticity to this picture, and this is the precise reason why I think it’s the better of that shoot, it feels real without loosing the fashion.

03. Adela

First of, what the hell was that photoshoot ? It’s such a disapointment after last season’s awesome concept for the finale, while this feels so pedestrian and random. Anyway, Adela didn’t really rock it. She looks kind of there, all sleepy and sloppy. In fact her eyes are looking so tired that it sorts of threw her whole energy off. The pose is also lacking energy, her limbs are just positionned limply arround, but at least the outfit still look good. It’s sad to see such a good model ending on a super mediocre note.
