Unpopular opinion, but I think the term Autism Mom should mean a mom who's autistic, not a mom of an autistic child. "Autism mom" gives me such an immediate ick. It makes my skin crawl. Autism Mom puts the focus on the Mom like they deserve some kind of award for parenting their kid. I'M a mom, and I'm autistic! My kid might be too! Parenting an autistic child is not a burden or worthy of special treatment. That's your kid. You brought them into this world(or adopted). Your kid being autistic isn't about you.
Same thing with Boy Mom and Girl Dad. Those should mean parents who enjoy playing around with their gender. Again, with the special treatment/award.
Stop rewarding mediocrity. It is the bare fucking minimum to parent your kids regardless of gender or (dis)abilities or neurodivergencies
