“A certain darkness was needed to see the stars, and up until then, Will hadn't bothered to go looking for it.”

Ranger Will Treaty, accused of three murders, is banished from Araluen. The evidence is there, but is insufficient to have him executed, and Will remembers nothing from the past six months. His family plans to continue investigating with Will in a safe spot, but when Will confesses to the murders and leaves, they are unable to find him when they come across evidence that could prove him innocent.

so, i love this fic more than words can express, and i decided i may as well test out my GIF work and make a little gift for it. so, aves, here’s to you 💚

(also, i’m aware that my GIFs are freezing. it’s an issue with the program that i currently use, and i’m looking into other programs but ya girl is broke and trying her best)

Yeah, according to a wiki forum post, it seems like it’s at the end of Erak’s Ransom.

also, fun fact that I just learned: Erak’s Ransom is book 7 in AU and USA but in the czech republic, probably cause they had a buffer of RA books to translate, they stuck it into the chronological order properly and it’s book 5

16. Have you ever stopped writing a fic/for a fandom because it wasn’t receiving enough attention?

One, sorta. It was a Star Trek: Next Gen fanfic that centred around Wesley Crusher not being listened to about a problem and saving the day. ‘Course that was like....half of all Wesley Crusher episodes anyway so it wasn’t all that popular and I didn’t have all that many ideas for it anyway

17. In your opinion, what’s your most overrated fic?

Soooo when I was still on ff.net I wrote a fanfic for the Earth’s Children series by Jean M Auel. It remains unfinished cuz people were pointing out errors between it and the work (getting character names wrong, etc.) so I put it on hiatus to reread the book and...never got around to it. It still occasionally gets favourited and I recently had someone post reviews on the chapters telling me in an angry tone to continue, which just had the opposite effect: now I just wanna delete the thing. I was writing it as a high schooler and my writing just straight up wasn’t developed back then and I can barely stand to read any of the stuff I wrote back then now. I’ll probably upload a short thing saying what I was planning to do with the fic and then just consider it done
