A note to asexual pre-t guys

When they say your libido will go up, they mean it. I started t as a very self assured asexual, that quickly changed. I hadn't seen much in terms of what t did to asexual guys but ohhh boy I was not prepared. Asexual guys are not exempt from sex drive hikes on t. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but it's something to seriously consider and plan for. Especially if you have an asexual partner already. Everyone is different, but I've heard similar from other guys who started t. So just be aware and stay educated.

I’m working on a novel and I have a trans guy character that I want to be asexual. As someone who is not asexual, I don’t want to screw anything up or fall into tired and inaccurate tropes. Also, I don’t know how the intersectionality of being trans and asexual effects things like going on hormones and having an increased sex drive, but no sexual attraction. If it effects it at all.
