I don’t know how popular this take is, but I have to say it.
I think Jayce has always had more asexual vibes than Viktor.
I’m not saying he didn’t enjoy himself with Mel, I’m pretty sure he did, Jayce likes to please his partners and we all know that. But she was always the one initiating seductive/sexual acts in the relationship, while Jayce seemed much more interested in cuddling and acts of non-sexual intimacy and affection. (And I think this is what a lot of people picked up and why they don’t think Jayce really liked her or why some people wonder wether Jayce even truly likes women)
As an asexual woman myself, there is something about Jayce that always resonated with me, and I think Jayce would make such great ace rep, because he’s the opposite of all the stereotypes about ace people: he’s extraverted, conventionally attractive, emotionally open and has physical touch as his main love language. I want more of that, please.
