Headcanon:

gray-asexual aromantic Leo, panromantic demisexual Don, aromantic pansexual Raph, gray-asexual demiromantic April, pansexual genderfluid neurogender demiboy Mikey, trysexual panromantic Casey. Games of Twister are fun.

It took me a while to figure Raph out. To me, he’s not a bubbling cauldron of hormones as much as a nervous pupper needing solace. A reader once asked why Gaia and Raph only had sex in the astral plane since Raph was so physical, and I said that that the point - Raph didn’t want to hurt anyone, no matter how much Gaia assured him about her fibromyalgia and cerebral palsy. In the spirit plane they can be as kinky and intense as they want.

“Apriltello” always made me feel weird precisely because I always see April as on the ace spectrum when not paired with Casey. The reason she was with Casey was because Kevin and Peter didn’t want her with a turtle and the turtles were most likely asexual themselves. But that was Mirage, in the 1980s, and it’s the late 2010s now. 2003, 2012, and IDW have shown that Donatello had a small crush on her. In my stories I very specifically ignored that in favor of pure platonic squishes, but I know it at least used to be there.

In the “Cold Fire Rising” sequels where I introduce my pansexual OC who has my disabilities, I involve Mike and Don in a polyamorous triad with her. Since she’s a telepathic neuropsychologist who is really fucking open about love, therapy sessions involve sex. For Raph and Leo, it’s astral plane only for Reasons. I know people don’t read “CFR 3: Lightning Crashes”, but it’s important to the AU, even with the “OC has sex with all four brothers plus Karai” thing.

Besides, the award-winning “CFR 4: Crossfire” might be a little confusing without it. So much comfort sex.

Ah, shit, that reminds me. “CFR 5: Mind Games” will finally have Mikey come out as autistic after Gaia and her sister Rhea blatantly point it out after Mike helps Donnie with a thing and Gaia’s like, “Guys, he’s autistic as fuck how did you not realize this? Oh right, isolation underground.” I know he (and Don) are aut in “Mikey The Lifegiver” and “The Sunshine Child” but if I’m going to give my OC my disabilities, well, blah blah blah. Fanfiction AU allows for many liberties.

Also I surprised myself with how much attention I’ve been giving Donatello in my fics outside of his relationship with Mikey. Donnie’s the fandom darling so I have my reasons for being so extremely Mikey-centric. But Donnie is growing on me as a point of view character. That means he’s in trouble.

HoO original trio headcanons

Because Leo’s back and alive and okay and I can go back to imaging these three being normal best buds.

Jason and Leo being in some lobby and just dabbing/twerking/nae-naeing to CLASSICAL MUSIC playing overhead and Piper trying not to die laughing as she tells them “guys people are staring stop you’re crazy STOP”

Being in a class/meeting/somewhere where seriousness is required and simply looking at each other and just cracking up (or trying to stifle their laughter, which never works).

All the inside jokes holy shit they have thousands, and it’s stuff they just remember at the stupidest moments and people look at them weird because they’re crawling all over each other trying to grab onto something stable to help them stand up, they’re laughing so hard “We should make a video. Just. Clips of all these things that only make sense to us” “GENIUS”

Legit one of them will cough and they start laughing because they associate it with something no one knows what

When some asshole cat-calls Piper, Leo and Jason start cat-calling him back and scare him off.

Hanging out at Piper’s place and just singing pop tunes (a genre they’re all into)(sometimes they stray into things like P!ATD or Steven Universe) together, Leo sometimes assisting by playing the piano because he can’t actually sing.

“Where did you even learn piano” “Pipes I’m a mechanic, c’mon”

Piper raps like a BOSS, she does all the attitude too and it is the loveliest thing to watch. 

Jason “I love mustard and onions and garlic and will fight you for it but not to the death because that’s mean” Grace. Leo constantly making jokes at his expense along the lines of “how do you even kiss this boy daily Pipes pee-yew”

“Hi I’m Jason this is my girlfriend Piper and my boyfriend Leo and his girlfriend Calypso”

Watching TV shows together religiously, they don’t watch a single episode farther if one of them isn’t there. Calypso joins them sometimes because her boyfriend is hilarious (always commenting/ridiculing what’s happening in the show). All three/four of them will boo or cheer at the screen all at the same time, as if it’s scripted.

Leo especially likes to hog all the sweater/hoodies/jackets and never gives them back. Piper loves her boyfriend’s hats. Jason will borrow Piper’s eyeliner because his wings are so on-fleek he could fly and it makes him look great.

Happy Mutation Day

How old are the boys, 19? 20? I finally decided to do another "Mikey The Livegiver" fic - the last story I'm writing for that series, which will lead into the actual ending, "Children Of The Sun" - and it's the day after a mutation day but I don't remember how old they should be. It's kind of important to the plot. Also I will assume the humans are all a year older than the turtles. Splinter and Shredder just died in this AU which means time is different. Plus Karai was there to help Leo kill Shredder. So they'd probably be a year younger than this Mutation Day.

Honestly I like the head canon that Leo is asexual a lot because like:

He realizes it when he has a girlfriend lmao i don't ship caleo and his girlfriend wants to move on but he can’t

He doesn't want to he legitimate thought Percy and Annabeth had just made out when Chiron had caught them in their visit to CHB in Percy’s cabin

He can see why people like kisses he’s not against it himself

But anyway his girlfriend doesn't like that and breaks up with him

Being the inside/sad outside/joker that he is he shrugs it off

But keeps wondering wether he’s broken

He keeps thinking nobody will like him (even as a friend) anymore because he’s a weirdo

Piper finds him sobbing quietly on Bunker 9 one night

Being the big sister she is she doesn't leave him and stays with him through the night

She cuddles with him and when he finally tells her what is wrong she smiles

She explains to him all the sexualities and is not surprised nor angry at Leo because he didn't know

Leo is kinda dying inside 

But he’s happy because he’s not broken

Piper explains how there’s many types and they all feel different, and how he doesn't have to be afraid because of it

She tells him about Reyna and how she’s an aro/ace and Leo feels better

Then she tells him about Percy being bi (c’mon everyone knew by then) and Leo feels like he’s going to cry

Because she can't believe Piper actually still loves him like a friend

They end up roasting marshmallows 

Leo doesn't come out yet though

He wants to feel secure and comfortable before telling anybody

He tells Hazel first, who almost cries but holds him tight and tells him she’s so proud of him for coming out

Then he tells Jason

Jason can’t stop smiling because his friend is happy and knows how he feels and he just wants to hug the living daylights out of him

Spoiler alert: he does

Nico, Percy, Annabeth, Frank and basically the whole of CHB all find out when Chiron starts taking roll call and instead of saying “I’m here!” he says “I’m queer!”

he laughed so hard while everyone was looking at him

But again, he was dying inside

Almost the whole camp proceeded to hug him after he showed his consent

Frank almost suffocated him Jesus Christ he’d never actually shown any kind of friendly interaction with Leo

But anyways

Incredibly, Reyna is next.

He tells her because he was feeling bad again

He can't stop thinking about his girlfriend’s betrayed look and how she pushed him away

He wants to forget

But he can’t

So Reyna finds him, on her bed when she returns from a meeting

For a terrifying moment she thinks he wants to have sex  with her and she’ll have to explain it all again

But he just blurts it out

And almost all her hate for him is gone 

(She’s still kinda bitter over the whole “blowing up Rome” thing)

They sit together and talk and Reyna tells him all about how she recognized who she was

She had always kind of felt it but she realized it when Aphrodite came to her

Yes Aphrodite gave her the talk fIGHT ME

So after quite an awkward moment Aphrodite told her she could choose how she felt

She immediately knew she was asexual/aromantic

Contrary to what most demigods think Aphrodite does not hate aro/ac people

She nodded 

But she was still a little disappointed inside because let’s face it the gods are pretty stubborn and she loved Reyna’s love story

But even though the camp was pretty shocked when she came out because of the whole Percy/Jason thing they all supported her

Leo and Reyna basically ended up exchanging hilarious stories about their lives

And not so hilarious ones when they had been rejected

But all in all it was a pretty good experience, and in the end, Leo thought

Maybe it wasn't so bad to share your feelings after all
