Formerly AsexualChristian. Rebranding to aro-ace-christian to better reflect my content! When I started this blog like 8 years ago, asexuality and aromanticism were so heavily related on tumblr. I love seeing that they're their own separate things now. Since I post a lot of both, I feel much better with this change. 😊
Shout out to Queer Christians. You all shine with the love of God! Figuring out how your beliefs fit in with who you are is never easy. God loves you and is so happy to have you as His child!
Hey all! I haven't been active in like 6 years. Had some life changes and kinda forgot Tumblr was a thing. I can't promise to be super active, but I'm going to try to start posting again. Will likely be queue based as I have less free time than I used to. Thanks for your patience!
Do asexual Christians have to get married?

Plus what about people like David and Abraham who had many wives? They both had a fantastic relationship with God and did great things.
Good point! But I will add that the biblical patriarchs who had many wives/concubines frequently had poor relationships with their wives, even if their relationship with God was great. Abraham’s wife Sarah, for instance, was jealous of his concubine, while David committed adultery (and murder!) to make Bathsheba his wife. There is a vast difference between the polygamy of biblical times and polyamory today: while the former always involved one wealthy man and many wives/concubines who were more or less treated as his property and usually had no say in whether he took more partners, the latter is based on equality and mutual consent and respect, and can involve any ratio of genders. This webpage discusses the differences between polygamy and polyamory in more detail!
I grew up Southern Baptist where it was all hymns and traditionally structured. We were expected to dress well and behave. For the most part, the children only spoke when they were in Sunday school. Now I'm 24 and I attend a nondenominational church. I can dress and worship how I prefer. I still love old hymns though, so I especially love when we do newer twists on the old hymns I grew up on. We have a beautiful version of "I surrender all" that makes me cry every time.
Thank you for sharing! <3
So I was really tired and accidentally outted myself as ace to someone at church today. It went surprisingly well.
