Asexual icon Connor Hawke!!!!! I love him so much!!!
i see your "[character] wasn't given a canonical love interest bc they are gay and the writer(s) are cowards"...
and i see your "[character] had no chemistry w [canonical straight love interest] bc they are actually gay"....
and thats all well and good ofc. but may i also suggest....
"[character] is ace"
One of the first questions I was asked by my uncle who was hosting Seder tonight was if I am seeing anyone. Can we please reach a point where this is not a commonly asked question because as an asexual person who literally has no interested in dating I always feel like a failure saying “no” year after year. I’m not out to anyone in my family. And while I’ve long since come to terms with and accepted my sexuality myself, it’s moments like that I feel the shame tugging at me because I’m “not normal” that will probably always be there no matter how long I’ve tried to rewire my brain to not feel ashamed for being who I am.
awrooooo!!! awooo wooooo!!! happy pride month!!! i drew a few different pride icons for myself because i couldn’t decide what cute shirt i wanted.

Thank you for your tags on the post about Ace people being in romantic relationships without sex. As a sex-repulsed person who would still like to fall in love again, that genuinely makes me feel more hopeful.
You're so very welcome!!! There is so much love out there in the world for those who want it, and many different types of love for those of us who have more specific boundaries and needs. I am sitting next to my husband as we speak, and when I woke up this morning I was thinking about how nice it was to have found someone like him. If anyone else out there is a sex-repulsed ace person like me who still wants a romantic relationship, it's perfectly possible- we've been married just over a year now, and I've never had a boundary crossed. Communication helps a lot, and it's good to establish boundaries clearly and early in the dating phase to set expectations at a realistic point.
Good luck out there in finding your person (or people, polyamorous folks are cool!)
