Get this: he's the Centipede Orphenoch. Also, the same actor plays all-around jerk Hojo Toru in Agito, so I found it oddly satisfying to watch him in this.

it's kind of funny how a series that's so big on Oppression Olympics manages to almost completely overlook some of the more obvious things like idk magically lobotomizing mages you don't want to deal with

it might help if Bioware had a more consistent grasp on real-world social dynamics as applied to their own writing tbh

I feel like Giselle’s blink-and-you-miss-’em conversations with Avexis in Haven are a decent microcosm for how the writing handles Tranquility in general? like, they’re sure to acknowledge that it sucks, but not willing to take the time to actually deal with it

(I WILL ELABORATE. AT LENGTH. EVENTUALLY. this thing might take months and months to get written but I’m not gonna give up on it.)

INCIDENTALLY I didn’t get around to saying anything about Maddox personally in the other post so I’m shoehorning that in here: he’s a gem. sending letters from the Gallows was a foolhardy and probably naive thing to do but I admire the strength of love and courage and optimism it must have taken. also, the paper birds are precious; also, you must really know your shit if Dagna’s the only person who can reverse-engineer your work.
