I’ve had some discussions about the destruction of the ace community appearing on my dash and it got me feeling sad and nostalgic. I am forever grateful I was figuring out my sexuality when the community was still thriving and there were lots of jokes and memes and support and headcanons to help me work things out. There is a lot less of that available these days, so it got me wanting to find one of my old ace fics that I could brush off and throw into the aether.

So have a rambling ace!Fenris fic, because I’m also replaying Dragon Age.

I fell in love with series a year or so back and I've been dying to read all of it. I was going to put it off until I finally took some French classes to translate, but I see you've beaten me to the punch! I just want to say thank you. And as a gray-ace, I fully appreciate the struggle my dude. The dream is to one day: 1) read all of the comics and then 2) adapt it into an adult cartoon without all the racism, sexism, and fetish porn. I just want to see this finally done with some real (1/2)

Respect to story and everything else. The cartoon series before was good but there was just… so much lacking in the backstory department. I want give Cybersix a fighting chance, you know? And my dude, your dream is my dream. The TV series is a lot of fun (and tbh I think there’s a number of things it does better than the comic series, like Lucas’ character and Yashimoto’s arc and stuff) but the comic has so much more depth to its lore and I seriously love it. (Also: Maura Click, aka the love of my life.) I spend an embarrassing amount of time daydreaming about how I would like to see it adapted, what I would want to take and leave and alter… man it’d be so neat. EVERYTHING ELSE UNDER THE SUN HAS GOTTEN A REBOOT COME ON TELEVISION GODS

I’m hoping that now I’m on my winter break I’ll be able to chip out a bit of time to do some more translation work, so with any luck you’ll actually see a post or two from this blog against in the near future… BUT THANK YOU GUYS FOR STILL SENDING ME NICE ASKS DESPITE HOW QUIET THE BLOG HAS BEEN <33 it means so much and it always encourages me to put in a few more hours to this project

Finding actual asexual headcanons in the ace headcanon tag continues to be rare and elusive, but every so often the relentless discourse is broken up by Ace Attorney headcanons so that's.... nice? i guess?
