...I was almost angry, at first. As I gathered the SOUL, I was very quiet. It had been my decree that any human found in the Underground would be killed, and as such, I felt that it was my duty to carry out the task. I was ready to scold him. I... I think I may have started, though I do not remember exactly what I may have said.

But... Wingdings was shaking. Twitching, really. Wild and frantic. I knew that he had not done anything like this in many, many years. And it showed. I feared that he would do something rash, seeking another "high" as his LV increased once more.

I wrapped him in my arms and simply held him until it passed. He fought against me, of course. He struggled and squirmed and... I will be honest, part of me feared that he would strike me. But mostly, I feared for him.

...When he had exhausted himself, I offered him a cup of tea. He refused, instead returning to his lab with the body and the SOUL. ...I... I think he was ashamed.
