Snippet from a tiktok oc story i've been working on
Ash was laying on the ridge of a cliff, staring out into the forest and up towards the sky.
Full moon, it looked so close tonight. Like if she tried hard enough she could touch it.
Her eyes closed for a moment as she basked in its glow, her heart beating softly with yearning.
Lycan weren’t supposed to be alone, not for this long. It had driven many insane. They needed to be with their packs and Ash was really feeling the loss. The sight of the moon lessened the ache.
Tears rolled down her cheeks as she gazed longingly at the celestial body.
In the distance she heard a wolf howl in the distance.
Before she could stop herself a mournful howl left her throat in reply. It was filled with her loneliness and desperation to be part of a pack again.
There was silence in response and she choked back a sob.
Ash sang again loudly towards the sky and let her voice ring through the forest.
A song of the lost.
Please.
Someone find me.
Don’t leave me alone.
Ash howled, calling out until her throat was rawr and her chest was heavy. Gasping as she stood on the edge.
She was about to give up when a soft voice called out to her.
They were closer than before, they were coming to her.
Joy filled her and she sang out again.
She used her voice to lead whoever was out there. No longer caring if they would harm her or kill her, she couldn’t live like this anymore. It hurt too much. Death was better than this feeling of loss and guilt.
With each call and response she felt her chest lighten and her head grow light headed with dizziness.
One more chorus and she felt her legs give, falling back onto the solid ground instead of the emptiness before her.
Her eyes began to see spots as Ash found herself gazing back up at the sky.
Forcing out one final desperate howl before she blacked out.
