Like even just going off his PV’s and episodes 1 & 2 I’ve always understood why he did what he did, being under so much pressure to be this inhumanly perfect being with so many expectations alone is enough to break a person, I never really needed any more explanation for why he chose to end it. But the more we’ve gotten glimpses into what was actually happening to him preceding that first episode, seeing the abuse and grooming he endured and how everything was taken away from him bit by bit, how he was so traumatized by the end that the freeze response he developed made him just feel even more helpless in the face of doing anything to change his situation, it just really drives home that he truly saw no other option to escape.

The age regression… that ruined me more than anything else in episode 22 I think. Just watching a visual of Nice as a child having to bear everything Shang De has said to him and put him through as an adult because he doesn’t know how else to handle it… if I can have one ask of TBHX it’s that Nice gets to smash Shang De’s skull in I’m so serious. Dragon Boy and Yang Cheng can get Rock too as a treat.

There is a part of me that is hopeful now that X is involved however that he was able to find a support system in X and potentially planned out faking his death with him, in pursuit of helping to take down Treeman and hero agencies as a whole. In all honesty I’ve always kinda hated “Nice is secretly alive” theories up until it showed that he had gotten involved with X in episode 22, because unless Nice had found a support system to cling to after he’d just lost everything, been given a really solid plan to escape from Shang De, he never would’ve faked his death on his own. But a good support system and motivation to keep moving forward, as well as being able to escape from/get back at his abuser and help others, to be a real hero for the first time in his life… I could see that being enough for him to keep hanging on. TBHX seems to showcase support systems as being extremely important for our other top ranking heroes, after all.

Nice is just so tragic to me… he’s so intimately human and that’s what hurts so badly about his character. He’s not superhuman, he’s not strong; he’s imperfect, he’s flawed, he’s weak.

But I genuinely think that’s what would allow him to be a true hero once he’s given the freedom to embrace that, if there’s any chance he is still alive.

I don't know if I have answered this before but I have some opinions on this of course! Some I think would work really well together, some that would end in disaster, and some that would be sort of neutral with each other but could share in the end.

Work Well:

Steve and Bucky- Obviously they have been best friends for nearly a hundred years, know each other like the back of their hands. I wouldn't doubt it if they did share back in the day especially since Steve had a little trouble in the romance department before the Serum.

Nat and Wanda- While both dominant energies, they would instead form a boss ass team, able to navigate any issue with their minds combined.

Bucky and Sam- Sure they banter, they go back and forth at times but overall they can come to a pretty good understanding of each others needs and wants.

Tony and Bruce- Science bros! They like Steve and Bucky know each other very well and use their immense intelligence to their advantage when solving problems.

Thor and Bruce- Now this is just a sweet one, they got close as time went on and so they have a similar set of experiences they pull from to see where the other is coming from.

Nat and Bucky- In the comics they have a past already, but both of them being used as a tool by Hydra gives them an enate ability to know what the other is saying without even uttering a word.

Clint and Nat- Budapest need I say more?

All Three Spider-Men- I will not be taking any questions about this one, they just would all compliment each other... and who doesn't want to be railed by all three at once...heh

Clint and Bucky- Both of them kind of have the same kind of vibe to them that makes it so they compliment each other very nicely.

Clint and Wanda- Having a good understanding of the other is key, and they get each other. Looking past their differences to focus on what they have in common.

Clint and Pietro- Two cocky men who get along pretty decently, I think this would be one that would be fun and keeps you on your toes wondering chaotic thing was going to happen next.

Disaster:

Tony and Steve- Self explanatory for the most part, but they already have a volatile relationship to begin with, barely even friends so its hard to see them able to put their differences aside to collaborate.

Tony and Bucky- This one is self explanatory...

Loki and Anyone- Loki doesn't share!

Wanda and Tony- The animosity towards one another would just make this a difficult match to make work, especially since she is not a fan of Tony.

Pietro and Tony- Same as the above ^

Bucky and Thor- Now you might be curious about this one, but I feel like Bucky would feel inferior to Thor because he is a literal God. So it would be hard for him to feel secure in the relationship enough to where it won't eventually implode.

Neutral Zone-

Nat and Sam- They could easily come to some sort of agreement or understanding on what each other is expecting, and while they might not always see eye to eye they are capable of compromise.

Nat and Steve- I couldn't decide if they would be good or neutral together because I could see it going either way honestly. It depends on how much effort they put into the relationship.

Tony and Nat- I think this pair would be okay together, sometimes they might fight about things but at the end of the day they would be able to find the middle ground.

Thor and Tony- They would be a funny pairing if nothing else, keeping you laughing with their back and forth antics but overall it would be okay.

Steve and Thor- This is another one where it could be great or it could be average depending on how they choose to interact with each other.

Bruce and Nat- They kind of have opposing personalities so I think they would bicker back and forth a lot and have issues with figuring out what is best for everyone.

Steve and Wanda- I don't know why but this one just feels a little weird to me, like there is nothing wrong with it, but there isn't a lot right with it either.

Thor and Clint- Most relationships involving Thor would be filled with the natural hilarity that he brings, and Clint matches his energy for the most part but can't always so there might be tension at times.

Tony and Clint- A pair that is just okay, like they would both do their best to make you happy but they don't feel the need to interact often.

Bucky and Bruce- One that I could never see them actually wanting to work together, but if it did they would be alright they can likely get what the other is going for.

Steve and Bruce- I think this one could either be okay or dangerous because of how explosive they can each be at times, not agreeing with each other could lead to a serious situation.

If I missed any pairings that you want my opinion on let me know, I just kind of tried to mix and match and see how I felt about the ones that I didn't already have in mind!
