NADIA BELCOURT & ASHA, THE SNOW LEOPARD

Snow leopards are known for their solitary and elusive behavior, which parallels Nadia's distant and private personality. This makes Asha a perfect reflection of Nadia’s preference for keeping a degree of separation from others. They are graceful and poised creatures, mirroring Nadia’s composed and elegant demeanor. Her ability to remain collected and strategic under pressure is akin to the snow leopard’s silent and calculated movements.

Snow leopards are symbols of resilience and adaptability, thriving in harsh environments. Similarly, Nadia has shown remarkable strength and adaptability, especially after the tragic loss of her husband. Personal Headcanon: izzy gave her to them when she was five. they have no idea where he found her, but he said her parents were dead and that she was a shapeshifter, so jasper was the firs person he thought of to care for her, otherwise he might have taken her to simone.

she was always a restless teen and she ended up hanging around queenie and well, being able to take on any appearance makes her uniquely and especially suited to being a thief, so when queenie wanted to form a team, asha was down. and she knows her parents worry about her, but gods she loves it. it brings her a thrill that she’d been searching for for a lot of her life. she’s the soft one on the team and she does what she can to keep them from doing anything truly awful.

pyke is a different kind of unyielding. you accept any kind of gift that presents itself in heavy fur and warm wool, but for the most part, a dragon’s fingers aren’t used to this kind of chill. (you walk across the harbour with the stench of fish guts strewn across the dock and salt spraying onto your cheeks, but you don’t loathe it the way you thought you would.)

asha’s been away for a while, and while she didn’t bat an eye at the thought of leaving you here, your stomach’s been in knots and you- gods, you were worried for a second when euron raised his ugly head before dipping once more.

you wait for her by the docks with a welcoming party - there’s a feast already prepared in the grand hall and you’re still nervous to watch your wife return. (and she does, with the sound of a horn and the boisterous chanting of men you’d rather not be alone with.)

“asha.”   she’s intact. no wounds that you can see. her hair’s a little longer than you remember, but you smile and she already picks you up as if you weigh nothing.
