“You’re very lovely. Has anyone ever told you that?” He sips his wine,
tone and visage impassive despite the observation. “You’re not from
here, are you? In fact----you look quite lost. Are you okay?”

Amber lids lift themselves upwards as he watches her walk in. The situation itself felt awkward for him because he had requested her presence after meeting with the other ambassadors. Yet he felt a tinge of regret as he stood there with his hands on the war table.
“ I do not mean to keep you long but I just had some questions. ”
A sigh escapes him as he is sure the mood is about to make a sudden shift. His upcoming questions were not meant to offend her yet he knew that just bringing up the fact that she was a mage (something she could not help might he add) and question her abilities to keep her magic in check was surely going to get under her skin.
“ I won’t be the first to ask this and I surely won’t be the last but are you confident in your abilities to prove yourself as a mage here? The Chantry has already renounced us and I’m sure you’re aware that not only the fact of your elven heritage but your mage talents are going to make it hard for people to trust us. ”
There he had said it. The last thing he wanted was to get off on the wrong foot, but the Templar in him wouldn’t stand by idly as a new found order was about to be run by a mage.

Yes, being the Inquisitor meant endless meetings with nobility, plans and trips to Maker knows where to find who knows what, and it was truly a full time effort. But sometimes it also meant people gave you a wide berth which she was currently taking full advantage of.
Zhavorr was currently standing over pots of soil in the garden, dirt under her fingernails and her sleeves rolled up to keep from getting anything on her clothes and earning a reputation for being “a filthy Dwarven thug” rather than just a regular Dwarven thug.
She’d been fortunate enough to get a few rare herb seeds from her second to last excursion out, and they had produced seedlings large enough to be transplanted today. She’d already harvested the Elfroot she had planted and planned to give it to the Healers when she was finished here. But now she was gently parting the dirt and letting the seedlings come into their new home.
Working with the earth always gave her a sense of peace. She wasn’t anyone but Zhavorr now, in this moment, and sometimes she forgot that in her haste to live up to everyone’s expectations. It was a large burden- one she often felt her shoulders were too small to bear. But as she gardened, none of that mattered.
All too soon she had finished her work and handed her Elfroot off. But she hadn’t wanted to leave the garden. Perhaps she could stay a bit longer.... sitting on the benches or talking to someone else. She tried to surreptitiously peer about for an appropriate target.
