Kaden was never a fan of Halloween. The dressing up in costumes, going door to door for candy, attending parties never appealed much to him. Sure, he entertained it for his kids as they grew up and trick or treating had been all the rage. He liked spending time with his family and being there for them. However, the moment they were all in their early teens and old enough to go on their own with their friends, Kaden chose to work these nights. A lot of stupid shit happened on Halloween since young adults were out getting drunk and...well, stupid. Why stay home when he could be out there doing his duty on keeping the streets safe for his own kids and others just trying to have fun?
Nothing changed in Krovs either, as much as it seemed to upset Lucien. Last year he didn’t really have an excuse or choice in participating with his master, so he was grateful to Ransom and the police department here for having one this time around. Especially with those ridiculous nightmare hot spots set up in town that he could see the magical energy rising out of the streets on. No way was he stepping in those and he’d try to keep others wary of them out as well.
The kresnik patrolled the other side of town while Ransom took charge on the opposite end. Nearly every bar or restaurant was packed full of castle residents and villagers alike, music battling it out between businesses as they echoed even outside from the obnoxious volume. A few costumed pedestrians were out and about, some stumbling drunk while others appeared to be just getting started. He found one individual in... quite the costume. Some kind of sexy rabbit yet it was far from some of the worst things he’d seen in this place. “Evenin’, sir,” he greeted as he walked up to him. “You enjoyin’ the festivities this evening?”
