heres some character sketches i made for the msm infection au i've been working on, Etherealpocalypse (or ethereal infection ig). the gist of it is that it takes place in the mirror timeline, where the cataclysm never happened but other bad stuff definitely has. five diseases tied to the five ethereal elements have begun to spread, throwing the natural islands into chaos.
Dr. Cal Sollura (Earth Epic Wubbox) is a travelling physician, part of a team attempting to study the diseases and find any sort of cures.
Ashe Grennivan (Plant Epic Wubbox), a Plant Island native, is a single parent just trying to stay sane and keep its kids safe. it becomes a close friend of Cal, joining its team on their travels in an attempt to stay safe.
Thistle & Lief Grennivan (Plant Epic Wubblets, aged 4-5ish) are Ashe's twin children, who are blissfully unaware about the full extent of the whole infection thing, only that everyone around them seems to be getting sick all of a sudden...
the air wub (Zeffaras) family are side characters with their own subplot, their paths cross with Cal and the other protags a few times.
Subsaanik Vynell (Rare Wubbox) was a close friend of the Zeffaras family; after both parents passed away, it was left with the responsibility of taking care of the kids.
Rotor Zeffaras (age 7; far left side of sketch) is the middle child of the three, curious by nature but kept sheltered by its caretaker and older sibling for its own good.
Cayley Zeffaras (age 12; right side of sketch) is the eldest, painfully aware of the spreading infections after watching its own parent die as a result of one. it's severely depressed and struggling with this baggage, but tries to stay strong for its younger sibs.
Whirle Zeffaras (age 2; bottom right of sketch) is the baby of the family, mostly cared for by Cayley. it has no idea what's going on, but misses its parents a lot.
