“Hey, Hyacinth,” I called from the living room, effectively shutting them both up. “Pauly.”

A few heel clicks later and Hyacinth appeared in the entrance to the living room. “Oh my god, Daisy!” she squeaked, leaning on the door frame for support. “You’re back! Are—are you okay?”

clear:

I shrugged. “You give me something cute to look at on my shifts,” I told him, as if that were compensation enough. The way his eyes blew even wider still as he processed what I had said certainly was.

His sibling laughed out loud, making me smile with some pride that I’d been the cause of it. “Oh, you are barking up the wrong tree, louloudaki.” That name sounded familiar for some reason, though I had no idea what it meant. The first bit I understood loud and clear, though: my cute regular was not into women.

❣️: which scene has been hardest to write so far?

Hmmm! Honestly I’m not quite sure, because any scene can be incredibly difficult to write when I’m hit with a block, which happens somewhat often to me. I actually think this is the beginning!! STARTING the darn thing was so heckin’ hard??? And the beginning I have now is so, so rough, I’m planning on entirely scrapping it and working from scratch in the second draft. So it’s gonna be difficult again, too! ^^’

💓: is it part of a series or standalone?

One Siren’s Soul is going to be a part of a trilogy! And a very close trilogy, too, with likely none of the books being satisfying to read on its own because so many of the plot threads are carried through multiple books.

I don’t yet know the name of the series, I’ve been calling it the same as the first book temporarily. I also don’t yet know the name of the third book, but the second is called Two Witches Woven!

hii your wips look so cool! Can you talk a little about come and save me - what it's about and your writing progress??

hiii omg thank you for asking !!! come and save me is about several things at once. it is about battling depression and the philosophical issue of the Duality Of Man, and what it means to have control over oneself (and if that is true). the protagonist (who still doesn’t have a name rip) has severe depression and develops this imaginary ‘guardian’, evan, for her which takes care whenever she feels like ending it all, who protects her from self-harm, from self-destruction - but one day, evan does more than that; he takes over. she starts to randomly black out and end up in places she has never been to, or with people she has never been with. he starts talking to strangers and makes decisions that she should be making. of course, evan is her own creation, kind of her subconscious, but she feels as though he is not hers anymore, as if he is an own individual, and is pushing, forcing her into a corner she cannot get out of -

my writing process is MESSY i started this wip about two years ago when i was mentally healthy on my own, since then i’ve grown and healed a lot which makes the story a bit more mature i believe. of course the entire plot is a bit dark and confusing but i just want to portray the difficulties of mental health and how strong people are to be willing to overcome them.i’ve had the first and last sentence in  my head for quite some time and wrote my prologue in the beginning - since then, i don’t really write chronologically but write down scenes like one-shots every now and then and piece them together when i have the time.

to conquer the world, you and i would no longer be mortal, but immortal--(are you ready for that, love?)

J: Favorite woman writer?

Gosh that’s a hard one... At the moment? Jae. She was the first author I read getting into F/F romance and I adore her Backwards To Oregon duology.

L: What’s your favorite guilty-pleasure read?

The Twilight series 10000%. I recently rebought the books in hardcover since I got rid of my original set (out of shame and because I had ruined them from reading them so much). I got them from a charity shop that supports my local library too! A win-win in my book.
