I'll try my best to describe my Vanny/Vanessa's whole thing
Basically the way I thought about her in my head was that she isn't controlled by Afton/Glitchtrap like at all, and he has no play in what her actions are
My Vanessa has been a fan of piecing together theories and solving mysteries for a very long time, and one of her particular topics of interest was always the mysteries of good ol' Fazbear's
She got so deep into this whole messy story that she decided that the only way she'd be able to get to the bottom of it was to start working for the company to get an inside scoop (She also needed a quick Buck anyway)
Eventually, the deeper she got into her endeavors and also the more time she spent in the nightmare hell that became of the Pizzaplex, the more she started becoming internally consumed by the madness that came with it
She soon ended up being focused on one goal by the end of the day, and that was to make sure that fucker Afton was dead so all of this could Stop. This is when she came up with the whole Vanny character and started going about all of her dirty work in the shadows
So basically TLDR; My Vanessa/Vanny touch tone telephones her way into working for Fazbear's so she can kill Peepaw Afton and the only reason she chases Gregory around is because she thinks it's funny. She's a certified Weird Girl and she eats peanuts with the shell on
