The moral of Shimoneta has become more and more important than ever
Fight censorship! Fight puritanism!
one anime that i think has a good message but isn’t talked about enough is shimoneta. it might not be the best show and it might be a little too over the top sometimes, but at it’s core it really touches on the dangers of censorship and sexual repression. i think it’s a show more people should watch. i really wish the show had more seasons. maybe i should get around to reading the manga. i kinda forgot about the series but i have really fond memories of the anime and i was thinking about it a lot with all the anti-ship, anti-kink and anti-sw rhetoric i’ve been seeing online

Anna Nishikinomiya's Summer Thoughts
Summer always feels so bright and full of life.
The clear blue sky, the warm sunshine, and the endless ocean create a scene that makes my heart feel lighter. It's the kind of season that encourages everyone to smile a little more, laugh a little louder, and enjoy each day without worrying too much about tomorrow.
I love taking peaceful walks along the beach.
The sound of the waves is calming, and the gentle sea breeze carries away the stress that quietly builds up during busy days. Standing by the water reminds me that nature has a beautiful way of helping us find balance again.
Summer is also a season for making memories.
Whether it's watching fireworks light up the night sky, enjoying a festival with friends, sharing delicious food by the sea, or simply talking while watching the sunset, those ordinary moments often become the ones we remember the longest.
I think warmth isn't only something we feel from the sun.
It also comes from kindness, friendship, and the people who make us feel accepted. A sincere smile, a helping hand, or an encouraging word can brighten someone's day just as much as the summer sunshine.
The season also reminds me to keep growing.
Just as flowers bloom beneath the sunlight, we become stronger through the experiences we share with others. Every challenge teaches us something new, and every joyful moment gives us another reason to be grateful.
So I hope everyone spends this summer taking good care of themselves.
Take time to rest, enjoy the beauty around you, stay healthy, and treasure the people who make your life brighter. Life moves quickly, but the happiest memories are created when we pause long enough to appreciate the present.
If I could leave you with one wish, it would be this:
May your summer be filled with peaceful days, genuine laughter, unforgettable adventures, and hearts warmed not only by the sunshine above, but also by the kindness you share with everyone around you. After all, the brightest season is the one we spend making each other's lives a little happier.
