Ok so basically theres this guy in my scouts group that is like cool and looks good and smells good ans I think he kinda likes me too. Hes my age, so we have over two more years of meeting up and working together and stuff, and this shouldnt be (1/?)
Fucked since scouts is sort of sacred for me (its not my Happy Place, but its home and family for me, and I dont want to ruin). I kinda like the guy but I dont know if I should just (continue to) wait and see, or text him (done) or what (2/2)
i think you should definitely talk to him! whether at scouts or over text, you should try and start some conversations and see where they go! it seems to me like you’re genuinely interested in him, and if you think he likes you too (along with the fact that you have a couple more years of being around each other), then there is no harm in trying. just don’t act like someone you aren’t, and don’t stay quiet and wait and see if anything happens. trust me, i’ve done both of those things, and they got me nowhere. either i felt uncomfortable in my own skin by pretending to be someone i’m not just so i could potentially interest my crush, or my crush slipped from my hands because i never spoke up and/or tried to engage in activities with him. so far, it sounds like the two of you have a good friendship, so i’d continue doing what you’re doing and then, if you want, maybe try and hang out with him more/talk to him more. and if things don’t work out, i’m sure scouts will still be home and family for you! one person shouldn’t destroy a cherished place/activity for you. advance at your own pace and interact with him in ways that make you feel comfortable. (plus, he’s cool, looks good, and smells good? that, my friend, is a triple threat--not everyone is lucky to witness those boys!) <33
