Sometimes I do think about how much Junpei’s character revolves around Akane. We know nothing about who he was before 999 except for the parts that involve Akane. Does he even have family? Friends? A life outside her?

Or do we not see any of it because ultimately, it’s Akane telling the story, not him.

Actually I really like chewing on the idea that Junpei continues to remember different timelines even after the events of 999. Mostly because I need this twink to be haunted even more by the past and future.

Randomly decided to brainstorm some alternate universe codenames for 999 Junpei, and so far some fun ones have been Star, Echo (5th NATO phonetic alphabet letter), V (Roman numeral for 5), Mambo (no.5), Jupiter (5th planet), Sirius (5 brightest object in the sky visible from earth), and a few others that were a bit too goofy.
