Here’s introducing Ashnah! An upcoming character from my series ‘Fade’, she’s wicked, she’s calculated and intelligent - a formidable opponent indeed...

Another big comic! I’ll explain this as I go. To note: Ashnah would have just given Mrithun her arm. The rebel army is gathering, but they gather too late, as Lucifer’s army is swift to attack.

Ashnah tells Mrithun to run before the army arrives in-full. He’ll be fleeing to the lower layers of Hell while she fights.

As Mrithun flies off, Ashnah is killed swiftly, greatly disturbing Mrithun. In his anguish, he’s attacked by one of the fallen angels of Lucifer’s army and wounded.

Mrithun flees to the point of entry to the lower levels of Hell, where other demons are waiting. In their hesitance, they’re forcibly sent lower by a great explosion.

The demons fall and land in the barren wasteland with much of Lucifer’s army still pursuing them. Mrithun finds a place to hide between the roots and rests for a moment.

His rest doesn’t last long, as the same fallen angel from before finds him. Mrithun, fighting for his life, eventually gets the upper hand.

After the chaos, Mrithun exits the hiding spot, now fit with a new set of clothes and a new weapon.

To note: this is how a lot of demons got stuck in the Barren. They were so hesitant to flee because they didn’t know what awaited them in the lower layers—what did was a vast, hungry wasteland. After all the demons either fled into or were forced through the entrance to the Barren, all entrances were sealed over by Lucifer to keep them locked away so they couldn’t regroup in a rebellion.

Qu’est-ce que Ryker va faire, si je ne peux pas partir avec lui? Il va me laisser… peut-être… Non, Ryker va aimer son enfant. Il ne va pas nous abandonner.

  Peut être.

Toujours ces “peut être” qui me trottent dans la tête…
