Grey Days
A couple years back, Hollowclan experienced a heavy drought and massive plague that wiped out most of the senior warriors and nearly all of the nursing queens, leaving just a few to nurse both their own kits and those rendered motherless by the disease.
Around this time, Hollowclan warriors also discovered a newborn Wildkit (a caracal kitten, later named Wildfire) whose mother had died. With all of their nursing queens being overworked already having to take care of the newly motherless kits, Hollowclan decided instead to give the kit to their ally, Grottoclan, where he would be safe from disease and be able to be adopted by Grottoclan queens.
