Plumvalley and Cressheart take a long walk, each of them lost in their own thoughts.
Later on, on a patrol with Burnetstar, the leader confesses that they've been thinking about death lately, with all the death surrounding them. Were they cursed? Plumvalley tells them that no matter what, their legacy would shine brighter than any star. Burnetstar purrs that they are so lucky to have him as a son, and the two finish gathering herbs.
Cressheart and Rift and are attacked by a rouge, leaving Cressheart injured.
Moon 38:
A kittypet waits at the border, asking to join. Shine is welcomed into the clan.
Scorchkit -> Scorchpaw (Traits: Compassionate, Active Imagination & Quick to make peace. Mentor: Theo.)
Shadepaw is attacked by rats and injured.
Scorchpaw is scrambling after Theo down a mountain slope when the molly sharply stops him, pointing out the mushroom circle in front of him and to not tempt the moss cats. Scorchpaw rolls his eyes and steps into it, loudly exclaiming that its a load of mouse-dung. But in the moons to come...sleep does not come easy.
Moon 39:
Cressheart heals and goes missing for a few days. It seems that she is gone longer and longer.
Shadepaw -> Shadeleg (Traits: Ambitious, Good Climber & Keen Eye.)
Cindertuft leads a casual sparring session consisting of Ganderdapple, Rift, Toadstipe, Strawfern and Peakfur.
Moon 40:
Burnetstar and Toadstripe get attacked by rats.
The heat makes the clan want to hide in dens for most of the moon.
Moon 41:
Rift finds some orange poppies and gifts them to Peakfur.
Whisperclash finds laurels and gifts them to Theo.
Burnetstar hopes for a small litter, their anxieties about losing more babies overwhelming.
Cressheart is given pink flower bulbs from her mother, Pepperfish.
Moon 43:
Burnetstar gives birth to two toms: Nimblekit and Firekit.
Swanspeckle is non-binary!
The rats are back, this time attacking Pepperfish, but the molly escapes with no injures.
Moon 44:
These rats will not fuck off. They get Ganderdapple and Pebblepelt.
Scorchpaw -> Scorchtuft (Traits: Compassionate, Good Kitsitter & Good Mediator.)
Pepperfish and Grayblotch come across an apprentice-aged cat, who gleefully asks to join. They bring her back to the camp and she is allowed to join.
Galepaw (Traits: Bloodthirsty & Confident With Words) is given to Shine to mentor.
Moon 45:
Treerip slips on a rock and dislocates her leg.
Theo gets yellowcough.
Cindertuft, Scorchtuft, Saffronshade, Cresshert, Whisperclash, and Strawfern are caught in a sudden, violent storm. Throughout it all, Scorchtuft keeps an eye on everyone and they make it home safe.
Moon 46:
Strawfern comes out as non-binary (what is in the HollowClan water that's turning all the frogs gay)
Galepaw -> Galefeather (Traits: Bloodthirsty & Great Speaker)
Moon 47:
ClawClan has been raiding their borders at all hours and tensions are at an all time high. HollowClan is struggling to respond.
Cindertuft is badly injured and suffers a heart attack and passes away.
Moon 48:
Tensions remain high, and the warriors of HollowClan are slowly adapting to their new normal and new routines in order to try and save their territory.
