The Songs in the Silence
Summary: Destiny Faust grew up with loving parents, a big family, and everything she could ever dream. After her family is killed in an accident, she finds a picture of her mom and a mysterious man that leads her to a journey of finding herself as decades old secrets come to light. Destiny ends up in Forks, WA with her belongings and an array of emotions about getting to know her biological father. While getting to know her new family and grieving those she’s lost is hard enough, throw in meeting a handsome doctor with a heart of gold and Destiny is in over her head.
A/N: this is a work in progress of a work in progress. I have about 8 drafts of this story and continually scrap and rebuild. The scenes I’ve written are good and cute and I love them but not all of them fit as I perfect the plot, characters and themes. I figured they’d be fun to put out into the world (and get them out of my notes!!!) as I continue to write. To me, this story is about learning to live with your grief, grieving those who aren’t who you thought they were, finding yourself after trauma, fear of loving someone new and losing them, and all of the other bumps and bruises that come with falling in love. I hope you love Ashore as much as I do <3
